Idaho burns spuds!
Just kidding...BUT, there is an active burner community in Idaho. The Boise folks have fun stuff going all the time, and the Sun Valley folks do some impressive art.

Hi there Swamicheese - the Boise "SpaceaHo group" (spun of from GLOM a few years back) is beginning talks about what Art projects to bring for 2005 (so far Sound/Fire are dominating)...also looking for possible collaborative efforts with others. Do you know Naked, Nurse Nymphodite, or Entemo? If not, and you are interested in who we are, etc PM me...(of course, maybe we know each other already?) regards, Jafe
Anyone else in Idaho looking for a group to Join? regards, Jafe

You Idahoans should consider going to Synorgy. They have an amazing group and a kickass venue, and aren't an unattainable distance from you.
“We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.”
Anyone further north?
I'm in Moscow...any burners in Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington?

Synorgy
Yes, I went to Synorgy last year, and had fun!
Idaho also has some annual events, if you are in the area.

Northern Idaho
Hey javajen
I met some Burners in Spokane, Washington, but I don't think they do much while off-playa. If I hear about anything, I'll forward it to you.
Have you talked to the Seattle folks to see if they know anyone in your area? http://www.burningmanseattle.com/

I used to live out in that area and my advice is to put the word out that you are looking for burners. I am sure there are many burners in the area even if only during school but you need to find them because there is almost never any events that cater to burners. A good starting point would be the drag shows. They used to be held upstairs at CJ's and for the life of me I cannot remember where they got moved to. Lots of crazy people and lots of fun. If you make it to Lewiston/ Clarkston there is Hogans a sweet bar in Clarkston that caters to a less Idahoan crowd. There is also Tribe.net which has a Spokane Tribe. Good luck and if you make it to CJ's tell Shelly that the EZ Crew sends their love.javajen wrote:I'm in Moscow...any burners in Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington?

...and yes, the "GLOM spin-off" is still active in Boise, unless a better name comes up we will likely call ourselves Blunderland again and re-use the giant mushroom chill structure (complete with air conditioning!)...planning a pre-compression in late may / early june...
