Make me a costume and I'll wear it.
Yeah, sounds like I'm a lazy ass, but I'm 6'6" with long arms and legs and it's hard for me to find stuff to use for costumes. I thought I might learn to sew and make my own but I don't think I have time for that (maybe next year). I *did* make some cool flower pants this year. Made some tie-dye pants, too, but tie-dye isn't me. Not sure why.
Anyhoo...if you have a creative urge and perhaps have idle hands that need something to do, I'll pay for the materials and you make...something...maybe related to the theme or maybe something you've always wanted to make. I'll wear it...at least one day... Not sure if I'd want to know what it is beforehand or not...hm...what do you think?
I know this is a weird request but I thought it might be a cool project (you get to dress me!).
OK bring on the comments.

It's what you make it.
costumes
hey! i just learned how to sew, and i dont even know if "learned" is the right word, more like trial and error... ive made a couple things to bring and would love to make you something too! my sewing machine is jammed right now and i hope i dont have to take it somewhere to fix it but hopefully ill get it up and running so i can make you something spectacular. I think im going to be a part of a camp called "chemical dependent sluts. (what are you coping with?)" this year. ill keep you posted on the whole costume thing... would you like it to be a nighttime warm costume or a riskay daytime one>?

My sewing machine jammed and I was able to take it apart (carefully, note where the screws go), cleaned it and oiled it, and now it is fine. The bobbin holder, shoe? was the main problem, too much lint and not enough lube. Worth a try, just unplug it first, m'kay?
I can do polar fleece hoodie pullovers in large sizes, I'd need your arm length from the shoulder point to wrist, and a chest measurement. Mine is a couple sizes too large, but my skinny tall larry wears it too. Very nifty flame fleece for nightime warmth. I can do fleece pants too, but the pattern is cut for a 30 inch waist with a 36 inseam. I'm also looking at capes, but wow, they suck up yards of fabric.

You don't need badass sewing $|<1LLZz to make cool clothing. I recently saw a girl wear a skirt made out of gardengloves sewn together at the wrist-end. I have no doubt about the fact she made it herself and it looked cool too! You can make all kinds of weird and unique clothing by just sewing parts together. Tailoring is whole craft, but sewing stuff together is easy. The only thing you need is the will to learn and creativity. I've made a whole lot of stuff myself on the sewing machine and intend to extend that.
One cool way to make 'hippy trousers' (tight at the waist, wide at the feet. Do they have a name of their own?):
Take your average jeans, and open them up using the seams (either undo the stitches or just cut out the whole seam). Open them up until about kneeheight, then turn your trousers inside out. Take a piece of cloth in any kind of color you like. Call me crazy but dish towels often have cool designs
Attach the piece of cloth so that it widens around the feet, try and make triangle. Use pins here, don't start sewing right away!
Turn the trousers outside-out
See if you like the look, adjust as needed. If you're sure it looks good 'nuff you turn it inside out again and start sewing the two pieces together at the knee-end and go downwards (this gives you a little leeway if you get folds). Once you've done both sides of the new forked seam you can cut off the extra cloth.
I drew up a small thingy at artpad.art.com to show you what I mean:

Good luck

Whatta flashback. I used to do that in high school. Bells, they're bell bottoms, not elephant bells which were the big circles below the knees, and not flares which were a sleeker line, but here in Utah we called them bells. We were too young and thought we were too cool to be hippies. Hah!
I still have my patched flare jeans, old Seafarers c. 1974~1980s. Too bad they don't fit anymore; I could MAKE then fit, but eh, it would ruin the patchwork. I already replaced the waistband once, probably should have let them be, still, they're quite the vintage example of stichery gone overboard. Probably fetch big bucks on ebay.

i can make you an outfit out of duct tape, but you have to be there for the making part...it entails wrapping you up and then cutting you out again...no, really, it's super cool.
you could actually do it yourself, with some help...here's what you do:
you first wrap yourself in duct tape (not too tight!!!) sticky side out, then wrap again sticky side in. then cut it off with surgical scissors along the outside seam...like if its pants you cut up the outside of the leg from ankle to waist. then you just grommet up the seams, lace it up with some ribbon, and voila!
its not very bendy tho, so plan for some stiffness in your design...if you want to be able to move freely you're going to want a sparse little daytime jobber.
or you could make armour, just make it real big so you can get clothes on under and still have room...a friend of mine made a wicked cool sword.
go duct tape go! comes in all colors too...
