See what happens when you get up when the world goes to sleep?! eh, I have the bar to myself .... time for Fragelico and the hot tub indeed.

Um,, not this time, although there was a Champlain, WI (sp?), and a Rochelle, IL, and a Springfield MO. I could be wrong, it all started to run together. Larry's been through the plant there though, but by himself. There's a lot of Kraft plants. Dirty secret: Minnesota and Wisconsin Kraft plants IMPORT their cheese curds from Idaho to make thier cheeses. Not all, but quite a lot.did you make a trip through Champaign, IL perhaps?

You can say that again. I was kinda unpleasantly suprised to find out that they now own one of my very favorite chocolate companies-"Milka" in Austria. The plant in Bludenz fills the entire town with chocolate fumes about every 45 minutes..all day. I hope they don`t change it to start tasting like the "American" piggly wiggly grade garbage. Nothing tastes the same after you`ve been spoiled on fabulous chocolate....AntiM wrote: There's a lot of Kraft plants.

Ah, the Nestle plant was in Pennsylvannia, and no, you couldn't smell chocolate. BooHoo. I'll have to ask Larry what was on the bills, don't think we were hauling candy. The rural Hershey plant in Virginia (last trip) smelled like wet corn, then popcorn, then candy. Weird. Wisconsin was, cheese? North Carolina was IV drip solution to Minnesota. First leg out was Washington apples (picked up from another driver in Utah) to Wal-Mart distribution in Alabama. At one point it was Mike n' Ikes and PEEPS from PA to Council Bluffs IA. Yes, the peeps are already produced, yum. I get turned around because I didn't keep a good journal, truckers tend to go in large loops across the country unless they have dedicated runs.
Manufacturing plants NEVER give out samples. Hershey distribution plants do have a fridge in the guard shack to hand out candy to drivers. Tell you what, fresh hershey is remarkably good, and I prefer See's Candy to almost anything, so that's a lot for me to admit.
I-39 I think, but I was tired by then. By the time we were loaded, spent the night in the Road Ranger Truckstop. Conagra in Rochelle, we hauled Healthy Choice meals to, um, North Carolina.
Perhaps I should take some of this yummy coffee into larry and, er, nestle.

Com'n we all know that hollywood is too tired to get new ideas and just steals from itself in an endlessly smaller recursive circle. May it choke soon!

Any of that chai left, Fishy? I've never been a coffee achiever.
And I've got a giggle for you. I was discussing the service over on LJ, and I noted how the crowd seemed to divide itself between playafolk and people who knew Scott from the poly/queer/kinky communities. "Kinda like friend of the bride/friend of the groom," I said, "only, you know, weirder."
(Of course, according to that breakdown, I should've been sitting in the middle of the aisle....)

Flaming Bob Marley
Veronica's Piano Bar, Hedonism 11, Negril, Jamaica.
1/3 oz grenadine syrup
1/3 oz creme de menthe
1/3 oz 151 proof rum
Divide a tall shot glass into thirds, fill the lowest third with grenadine syrup, the middle third with creme de menthe, and float the 151 in the top third.
Wet a thin straw, light the 151 by passing a lighter over it, plunge the straw to the bottom of the glass into the grenadine syrup and suck. If done rapidly and correctly the straw will not melt, and you can observe flames travelling up the inside of it. Stop sucking when the flame is inside the straw.

The one thing that *does* hit me hard (hint hint) is Absinthe. Just ask Doc Pyro! >giggles<
When you have to deal with a bunch of Ukranians and Russians over "business matters" it's almost necessary to be able to enjoy, um, the finer things in life. In copious amounts...
Note, I did *not* mention Havana Montecristo Coronas in this posting... >yet more giggles<
