Logan's Run

It's never to soon to recruit the proper people to make your camp happen.

Our goal is to recreate the 'Last Day' dome from Logan's Run as a dance environment on the outer rim. A light up 'crystal' in the peak of the dome and a similar one surrounded by a circular bench in the center floor area with a mobile of 3 (body cast) 'citizens' being drawn up to the peak crystal would be so mind blowing. The chrome robot by the enterence... blinkies for the palms?

What we have:
1) large sound system and DJ equipment and a way to get it from NYC to BM.
2) the capability of building a large conduit steel dome.
3) some additional stuctures for the camp.

We are a group of about 20-25 people from NYC, Denver and SF. We were originally 3 different camps that merged behind a common goal.
We want to do even better this year.

We would like to invite other small groups like ours to join us in making this a reality. I think we need others to help get it up and running due to the work and the expenses.

So, if you ever wanted to be one of those dance camps that you celebrate sunrise at, now is your chance.

I have always wondered when "retro" would come back around to Logan's Run! Are we going to have lots of chicks running around in "Runner" outfits this year?

The 2006 theme does seem to put a push behind all the SciFi themes, especially retro ones. But will the music at a Logan's Run sound camp be retro, or just more techno hip-hop stuff?

I know someone who makes sleeper pistols...though I don't think you'd need Sandmen if you've got people willingly walking into Carousel.

You could hand out lifetimers--different colored crystal stickers that people could wear on their palms. Bring a lot of black.

I remember that movie. I rented it on my 30th birthday. I remember Michael York and Farrah Fawcett (I think) escaping to avoid the "renew" celebration. They were seeking SANCTUARY. Now there's an interesting concept. Do we want to incorporate Sanctuary to this? Just a thought.

You were right to hesitate on Farrah. She just had a cameo. Jenny Agguter was "Jessica 6", Logan's girl. (Because in the future, our heros will speak with an anglo accent).

Yea, I saw that on the website. I have not seen it discussed in other "how to cover a dome" discussions. I am not familiar with it. I'll have to read up on it.

EDIT: Also, the only critique I had about your site, is that the fonts on the menus are rather hard to read. Not a huge deal, but it did take me a minute to figure each one out.
