Model Needed for Life Casts to be used in larger project.

I'm looking for a woman in the bay area who would be willing to pose for a life cast. I live in San Rafael.

Right up front I want to say that I'm going to be teaching myself how to do this and I am NOT an experienced life caster. I've done the reading, now I need to practice with the materials. Hopefully, by the time I'm ready to do the full casts I'll know what I am doing enough not to make a total mess.

These will be partial nudes. I want to make 2 casts. Both of them will run from neck to navel. One over the right breast, and one over the left breast. I would like to cast someone with smaller breasts and, prefereably, prominent nipples. (Has to do with the rest of the project.) Your navel can be either innie or outie... no requirements there.

I cannot pay for the modeling, but will be happy to compensate for any costs you incurr, including wrecked clothes, meals, tolls and gas.. that sort of thing.

If there is anyone out there who would like to help me accomplish this addition to my (admittadly wacky) art project, please let me know. Thanks.

p.s. Since I will be making a new positive to make further molds from, I CAN make you copies to keep.... The copies made for Burning Man will probably be gifted on the Playa at the end of the event.

HI Stagger,

While I am in Canada at the moment and probably don't have the smaller breast you are seeking, I have done some body casts as well, with pregnant women, myself included. Anyways, if you want to hear some of my do's and don't, let me know.

I was just remebering how desperately I wanted to offer body casting at BM last year, but it was my first burn, had a three year old with me and I knew it would be very messy for the playa, so I passed.

An interesting idea.. doing body casts at burning man... but since I have yet to do this I have no clue how it would work given the LAEVE NO TRACE ethos we all live by out there.

I'm really not that picky about the physical shape of the model. The only specific thing I would like is prominent nipples, since this fits in with the theme of the rest of the art project to which these casts will be attached.

I guess I could artifically enhance these after the fact.

I currently do casting with other materials. Plaster for cement casting and silicon to make resin casts for various things I've handed out in the past.

This will be new territory for me. Should be fun.

I would love to hear your do's and don'ts... please.. share !!!!
