So, here we begin the "Young & Foolish" sub-topic thread of "Somthing we don't know about you..."---
A few years ago when I was young & fooish, the first time I drank and drove was also my last. There was a mountain party, and I'd only had like 3-4 beers. While driving back into town, I took a turn bad and rolled my car upside down into a creek. I had to swim out the crushed back window of my car. Very, very spooky. Woke me up a bit.

i used to win skating limbo contests back in my teens. the whole, one leg bent, one leg out straight method. was quite a sensation back in the day!
wondering what you all can do that we don't know about....
Fun Topic!
I'm a very nice person at heart untill i"m crossed then I'm evil. I watched a kid egg my car so I followed him home. Talked to his mother who saw nothing wrong with what her son had done and would not even make him go clean it. I cleaned the car only to find the next day another egg on it so i took matters into my own hands. I went out drinking one night and on my way home i took a dump on their doorstep. I never recieved an egging again.

In December the boyfriend & I had our 19th anniversary.
This coming Monday the wife & I have our 19th anniversary.
Luckily she lives in another state now so they can't gang up on me.
(this also falls under the "young & foolish" sub-thread)

My first time to burningman I was paid to go because I had no idea what it was. All I knew was that it was an event in the desert and there was no way I was gonna go unless I was paid, chauffeured and had a hotel room waiting for me in case I didn’t like the heat.
Needless to say, I saw the hotel room for about a few minutes and never used it for the duration of my time on the playa.

Last night I finally threw away some irradiated pre-cooked hamburger
meat that I originally bought for the `04 burn.
It comes in a foil-like pack and was probably "edible"(if you can call it that) for another 5-10-?...years. I saw it while I was at the store shopping for supplies to take to the desert in `04 and thought "very good...already cooked..nice packaging...easy to fix...wont spoil...perfect for the playa"
...well, this isn`t normally the type of thing that I eat, and I didn`t bother to try this stuff out before I packed it,.. I just threw a couple packages in with our food supplies and went to BurningMan thinking it would be fine to snack on some night sitting around camp, high in protien and all that....
Well we got it out one day on the playa, and without a doubt,...it was nasty. It was kinda pasty-greasy--rancid...even warmed up and seasoned it was really something that nobody could stomach, so it wound up sitting in and leaving BRC in our trash bag. What a waste. We didn`t starve or anything, but I should have tried it first to see if it was even anything I wanted to eat, let alone drag it across the country with me.
So, the remaining package makes it back home with us and somehow gets put into the pantry along with canned goods. I remember seeing it
there a couple times, and thinking I should just throw it away, but something stopped me.
The `05 burn comes and goes, and I was wise enough not to pack along
any marvelously wrapped feces snacks this time, but for some reason that package of god awful rot was still sitting in my pantry 2 years later; and being in a thin, easy to store container, it slipped conveniently out of sight beside some cans of spinach.
Last night in a dazzling moment of clarity, I spotted it, grabbed it, threw it in my overflowing trash bag, and immediately took it out to the curb for the trash man to pick up this morning.
It is gone, the horrid dead nasty meat is finally out of my life and I am marvelling at myself...why the hell did I keep that stuff for SO long?
It entered my mind that I was saving it to feed it to my dog, but I couldn`t even do that to my sweet Char...
Moral to this story? I dunno...Free yourself from nasty meat?
just thought I`d share that...

That stuff was so bad I couldn`t eat it, to nasty for my dog...
...I`m even concerned for the rats at the landfill...
...maybe I should have burned it....but we`re under a burn-ban now !!
Something really Tacky sounding about a "Burn-Ban"
Sounds like something the playa-serpent folks would say....

Denali is a son of a bitch
Denali is very unpredictable.
If you understand that and are crazy enough to go,
I salute you.
At night, I put on a formfitting costume and go out to battle evil.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.
