I was thinking that i would make up some Bumper/Window stickers like the ones with the white circle that says LT for Lake Tahoe but BRC for Black Rock City. Do I need to contact anyone or something to legally pass them out this year at the event?
As long as you don't sell them you will be fine. You don't need to ask permission. Many people create stickers, t-shirts, buttons and other give-aways with "Black Rock City" "Burning Man" or the "logo" on them.
Do be aware however that Burning Man does persue legal action in cases where people are profiting from the sale of such items.
side note: It was really cool to visit Burning Man head quarters in San Francisco last week and see 2 of my stickers on display there.
