That dude actually had a bad time at Burning Man, read this
I remember the day I got into Burning Man for $60.00, I remember being verbally abused many times by many Burners, I remember being upset over things that I saw and did not understand, I remember being lost by myself for hours freaking out-searching for my friends and home, I remember being fucked out of my mind-taking my experience for granted- then off in the distance I saw a figure-on that figure I saw a photo of a 20 something year old man- this man wanted to be in my shoes, but this man was dead- I promptly broke down in tears and realized WHY AM I HERE?
Sometimes on the path to spiritual enlightenment you have a few too many beers, crash your bike repeatedly, slice your leg open, take an ambulance ride 100 miles away to Reno, get stiched up, hitchike back to Burning Man, rebuild 2 bent wheels on a rolling bunk bed-ALL so you can have a perfect unobstructed view of the main event.
By the way the ambulance ride is $16.00 a mile or $1600.00 hospital visit was about $800.00 16mm film of the burn=PRICELESS!

Sometimes the road to enlightenment involves moderation not to mention taking responsibility for the consequences of one's actions. But most of us know that already.Sometimes on the path to spiritual enlightenment you have a few too many beers, crash your bike repeatedly, slice your leg open, take an ambulance ride 100 miles away to Reno,

Hey! You're a British Burner! and I thought my commute sucked! I was being Over Dramatic to make my point about the 24 year old kid who never made it to Burning Man. Check this out, I'm reading this Indian book- Vidya Vahini-and you can change the words a tiny bit like so;
Vidya impels man to pour into the sacrificial fire ones narrow ego and foster in its place universal love, which is the foundational base for the superstructure of spiritual victory. Love which knows no limits purifies and sanctifies the mind. Let the thoughts center around Burning Man, the feelings and emotions be holy and acts and activities be the expression of selfless service.
also
Vidya must emphasise that in the name of Seva, or Burning Man, no harm, pain or greif should be inflicted on another.
Let us rejoice with some curry!

Woohoo Tiahaar! Nicely said.
Just a camping trip for me is going into the Colorado Rockies for a weekend in 2' of snow.
BRC is my hometown - I live there, only for a week or so depending on how involved I am each year, but the Playa is my Home.
Camping trip and Burning Man are polar opposites in my world.

I am more lost now,with universal answers dripping from my tongue:
stardust honey
which feeds the soul and yet leaves it aching for more.
