Hello, I'd like to make friends at BM Before I get there! NV

Post by Catface » Mon Feb 13, 2006 2:45 pm

Hi, I thought it would be wise to 'meet ' people before I arrive at BM. A friend has invited me, however I would like to feel more like "Family".
Anyone live in the Reno, Minden etc. area?? Would you like to say anything to me?
I look forward to the people, the experience, the away time and also my contribution (which I'm working on now) Suffice it will be small for this year, but non the less work & time on my part that I don't have. I just won't go to BM without being able to add to it in some way. I'm 40 something, fairly happily married, female just looking to connect & enjoy letting go this yr.
Ya know what I mean????[/img]

Hi Catface. Welcome.

Does one need to live in the Reno, Minden etc. area in order for you to become friends with them?
There are pleanty of eplayans that fly all over the world to meet and see each other all the time.
Just letting you know. After all, that can be fun also.

Enjoy!

Hello and Welcome Catface ~
I'm always looking for new burner friends and would be glad to know you as one of them. My feet tend to wander, but my heart and home are very near reno and i am often in the area. Last year was my first year, and I did feel a little overwhelmed, especially considering I didnt know what to bring or contribute but was amazed/overjoyed at all the instant family I found out there.
I admire your motivation to already get started, what ideas/projects are you working?

Hello Catface, I'm also in the Carson area. i'm slowly trying to get things together as well. Once the weather warms up a little more, I'll be out in the garage working on many little projects. If you need help with anything let me know, got a garage full of tools & pretty handy. I know I'll have a couple of people coming over to work on thier projects as well.

I live in Reno as well. There are tons of burners here, you just have to know where to look.

Chai Guy, you sound interesting. I was going to give you a call, however I lost your number. Refresh my mind with a PM please.

BadDawg, you sound committed to being prepared for BM. I'd really like to talk with you more! Thanks
