I thought this might be a good resource to share for anyone travelling across the US or across the world to get to and from Burning Man.

I'm posting this today because I just hosted a couple here, overnight, last night and it was a lot of fun. Basically the concept is you sign up and give some info about yourself. Then, if you want to crash on another member's couch, you ask them through Couchsurfing (and vice versa if someone needs to crash on your couch). In my case it was a couple who are travelling from New Jersey to Hawaii and they're couchsurfing all the way. A very cool way to share resources (your spare sleeping space), make new friends, and a great place to find a place to crash if you need one (someone else's spare sleeping space) no matter where you're going (that is, Burning Man related travel or not). In case you're wondering, there's a referral

I'm not affiliated with the website, just thought it would be useful, particularly for those of us who have to travel more than a few hours to get to Burning Man.

By the way, if anyone happens to be travelling through Dallas to get to Burning Man, let me know; Burners are always welcome here.

I've read through the site before, but I only saw linked profiles and peoples reactions. I never understood the purpose, thought it was a yahoogroups of somekind. Thanks!

I left part of the explanation out. That should read: "there's a referral system so that you can see who knows who and who has stayed with who and who can be trusted, etc. etc. etc.".

She's a burner aswell, as far as I can tell. And yes, she absolutely stunning

I usually don't like blonde, but WOW
