No Postage Neccecary Postcards

Post by Friendly Jen » Wed Feb 22, 2006 12:16 pm

Hi, I'm working on a project where I use no postage neccecary postcards to mail our bm hopes and fears for the future back to the corporate world en masse. If anyone would like to save these out of their junk mail you can send them to me at

Jen,
Like the idea. Like it alot...
Are we to leave the message area blank for others to fill in when they stop by the post office?? Are you going to make a stamp to spread the word??? Love the idea.. If you got any more info to share, please do.. Dave

I figured I'd spray paint over the side that doesn't have the address information on it and then people could write/collage/whatever any kind of message they wanted.

I may or may not make some special art stamps this year, haven't really thought about it.

No post office this year

Post by Friendly Jen » Thu Feb 23, 2006 12:04 pm

Well I'm not sure what's going on with the main office in center camp. We are hoping to build it assuming we have funds. (Same boat as last year) But I will be building a mail art installation at the trash fence. So either way it will get done. Not sure if the fedral postmark will continue but I can always mail them from gerlach.

The BRCPO is the Black Rock City Post Office. It is located in center camp and is responsible for sending mail around the playa and out into the 'real' world via an official fedral postmark for black rock city.

As for the rumor it isn't going to happen this year....I don't know who is spreading that. Certainly not me.
