Frankly I hadn't heard of a tribute ban, but such a thing would be beyond unburnie - it would be widely rejected.

Oh! er rather, Doh!
I don't know, reverse engineering can be an art. Did you ever hear Stairway to Gilligan's Island? It's the GI theme done to the Zep song. Very funny and very original. Or Hell's Belles, the all girl AC/DC cover band? Very creative stuff!

Oh, Little Roger and the Goosebumps were genuises, no doubt there. I don't think they were a "tribute band". It's not like they did only Zepplin. "Fudd on the Hill" for instance. I'm not even sure that I'd call them a cover band.

I thought we were supposed to do our own art
You know, I used to think the same thing. Until my creativity dried up and I realized that I huge majority of art made in this world is just a copy of something similar. We paint the scene of a landscape which is simply a copy of a view. Photography just captures a moment in time. Music often borrows from other artists or styles and it is very rare when a new style is born and usually that style takes from things that already exist.

I think true art and creativity is more about the right combination of elements rather than the invention of them.

In my days at the University of Wisconsin, Art was a window washer on State Street. He's gone, too.

Right. Grounding in the prior art gives context and a foundation to build on. Free floating creativity is hard for the feeble minded like me to get a grip on.

Well, it was the best I could think of, since I don't think anyone'd be let into first camp, not even to wash down all the trailors.

We could don Johnny-on-the-spot regalia, get hoses and just march right in like we were on a mission.
On second thought, that might suck.

If it didn't suck, there'd be no point.

Hi.

I can't seem to hang around for more than a few moments at a time this past week or so.

What's up with that?
It's going to be alright.

Overworked. Thing "Tropical Island" and do nothing. Wait. Think "computer geek" and just drink lots of buzz cola and don't leave your terminal for the next 36 hours.

This is an order.
