I'm 6'5", 265, wearing size 14 shoes, and I was in drag on the playa 2 times this year, and I don't need no automatic. Now who was going to mess with whom?Don Muerto wrote:Ailchinn, I would NOT fuck with a plus-size drag queen toting an automatic...
I don't think so! Next subject!
I almost forgot...Iso and everyone raised valid points, but when you got someone that won't respond to you yet continues to attack all the time, what else can you do? You gotta get them to knock it off somehow? Since I'm obviously clueless on this, how would you handle it? By answering me you might help others avoid making my stupid mistakes.
hey you fit the hut tub profile! all we need is that equation..........Ailchinn wrote:I'm 6'5", 265, wearing size 14 shoes, and I was in drag on the playa 2 times this year, and I don't need no automatic. Again, even if you ARE one, I would STILL not fuck with a plus-size drag queen toting an automatic...
As for how to handle it. The short answer is to accept that Bob likes to abuse you, toughen up that miniscule portion of skin and get on with your life.
What you tried to do is publicly embarrass Bob into paying attention to you. Not to be harsh, but that is the strategy of a child. As an adult, I should think you would have figured out that you cannot sling mud from the high-ground as you attempted to do.
Bob isn't your Daddy, and I will bet you those 2 cases of beer he cares fuckall that you just told us all what a bad person he is.
Bob has no obligation to satisfy your curiosity or explain anything at all. If you simply make the effort and accept the rebuke with dignity nobody would have any problem with that.
Everybody has issues. Everybody has drama. Everbody is learning.
None of these things get you out of jail free.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
assuming, from your initial post, that it was a web browser, I find command ~ works for me.Bob wrote:> bob, the key commands are all there, you just don't know them.
And the Mac OS key commands for maximizing or switching windows in the active app are...?
Don't start with me, youngster.
Don't start with me, assumer. Within arms reach of me at the moment is a mac, a wintel box and an irix box.

I'm resorting to misguided posts as I get totally distracted trying to save 2 gigantic networks from crashing...and I pulled it off. Mondays just suck.
I do have a Get out of Jail for free card from the playa this year. And if that doesn't work I have lots of bribe offerings. I even found cow stuff that PJ would like should they be needed.
And then just as things get to normal, more fun hits. I'm outta here for a bit...but DM, thanks for the reply.
And of course right after I left it all went straight down the tubes.

uh, yeaaaaa... right, and the "search" function that presents you with every thread after you hit enter is a feature, right? You've been a windowslave too long there buddy.
Or maybe I'm just using it wrong.
OR maybe people ARE talking about nosehairs in every single thread...
THANK YOU!Isotopia wrote:Clue time:
This is a STELLAR example of shit that needs to be taken to PM.
Please don't bother with excuses, the "I'm sorries...", the..."it's because..." or whatever.
Just do it please. Read what you wrote above and recognize this is as a pretty good example of the kind of posting that people generally find equally as annoying as what you accuse Bob of doing.
Better yet, exercise the delete button.
I found out ignoring people is what pisses them off the most. As a plus, it requires very little energy and time.Ailchinn wrote:I almost forgot...Iso and everyone raised valid points, but when you got someone that won't respond to you yet continues to attack all the time, what else can you do?
Some people feed off of other's reactions- when they don't get one, eventually they tire of expending all that energy and getting nothing in return and go away. Sounds like something worth working on in your life...

yeah, i think one person, with enough malicious (or misguided self important) effort can, without any other constraints, make a bbs unbearable for most of the other users. witness j.d.

Demonstrating that OS wars are perhaps not too far afield from BBS wars.
The only reason I've kept a Mac on my desk is to open ten-year-old files created in ten-years-obsolete or -unsupported software, and BM files from an individual who insists on working in MacDraft.
Stopped playing Lode Runner when it started locking up on newer machines/OSs. And the Palm version sucks. Waugh.

hey, I'm fucking outta here
the ambience just sucks
I'm mean and nobody notices
I mean I could be hanging out in a chat room on AOHell with 12 year olds and getting jacked by the feds
I am just way to cool to hang out here. Nope, never see me again here, no way, no sirree...
Going now, yep, see ya!
(Pause....)
Didja miss me?

We need Trey, Precip, Badger, and quite a few others to clean this place up.
I really miss Precip being on here. I know she's busy, but man when she started in, she knew how to kick ass and she got her points across without any doubt about her positions.
If it wasn't for H's board, I'd be miserable.
