Nope. Just my cigs. Though I wouldn't mind sitting around a hookah right about now.

I'm just remembering a lovely night sitting with Sensei, Kernul Killbuck and a few others at Apokilipitka last year smoking some nice maple tobacco.

It's a funny story, but my first year(newbee) at the burn, a friend of the playa (whom I never met), gave me a mystical fortune card. That was what it said. I have kept it ever since, and made it my online presence.

I can see it now: a whole vast empire of fortune cookies and horoscopes that state the painfully obvious. teehee.

My turn to go smoke now. Though I think some time this week I shall have to go visit BoyToy and his hookah. Ever had orange-mint Shisha? Mmmm.

Yes! That it! Music now!

Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine
And meet you on the other side
We'll leave a sign so anyone can find us
A better place, a sweeter time
We won't need any wings to fly
A place beyond the sun

Ahhhh. Much better. Been a while.

I got a fortune card from one of those arcade gypsies on the playa that said
the best things in life cost quite a lot.

Well, she had tentacles and was trapped in a glass box.

The fortunes were all user-submitted. the one I added was
A Chinaman of the T'ang Dynasty--and, by which definition, a philosopher--dreamed he was a butterfly, and from that moment he was never quite sure that he was not a butterfly dreaming it was a Chinese philosopher. Envy him; in his two-fold security.

To another excellent year on the playa

You leave the old with burst of song;
You recall the right and forgive the wrong;
You forget the things that bind you fast
You the vain regrets of the to year that's past.

I guess if all the septuagenarians are going to go to sleep, I'll go eat some cheetos and watch some porn.

Yesterday, the very day that Spring sprang, the buds on the maple tree outside my 3rd story window bedroom window started to open. This makes me way too happy.

I think we're going to dodge the snow bullet.

Now, speaking of bullets....where's the espresso dude's espresso machine gun?
It's going to be alright.

a snow cone is always refreshing. snow is not. can you do an espresso flavored snow cone with maybe a little maple syrup? the trees are running here and the sugar shacks are serving all day pancakes....

CLARKcon wrote:Word Zoom. I'm telling you, we should all be delegated a piece of material to bring out to surrect "The Bar" out on the open-playa (kind of like a beacon of sorts). One person bring a plywood board wall, one brings a stool, etc. It doesn't have to be manned, but could be a meeting spot for regulars, a way station of sorts. Plus, we could bury a metal box with alll sorts of alc, so there is always a shot there when you need one. Low maintenace and maximum benefits. Cinnamon.
good morning espressodude,mozy and emily. any suggestions from what Clarkon wrote? my girlfriend and i were contemplating on it lastnight while doing our workout lastnight. espresso is real good, as always

ate a corndog and started the dishwasher (the older teen's week-long task which will be extended due to dishes in the sink overnight)

and here i am... waiting for the heating/AC guy and the oven repairman.

one full day of vacation, blown away.
