So have you found any interesting ( affordable ) tents on the net?

Last year some time I saw a company in Iowa I think was making military tents with an flexible photovoltaic fabric for the tops . I don’t think they put out that much power but it looked like cool stuff.

Tents what do you think? I don't want to do an RV or a Trailer do to the cost of cleaning and other costs that goes with it. But I really want to a great place to be when I am there.
I leave nothing to chance. What do you think? Domes what?

Neat idea. I can't wait until they develop photo cells enough to build them into roofing materials for houses. That would be nice.
It's going to be alright.

Sput They have photovoltaic paint and glass! I know the glass is available right now it is totally cool and would make great self powered playa art the same company makes glass with with invisible embedded LED's too

Nice pic, Rabbi Dali Rick! (Cc goes to a corner on The Bar and thinks to himself:

2006 BM Itinerary (if there is such a thing... :D )
SUNDAY NIGHT: Arrive, sleep or set-up
MONDAY: Make coffee. Set-up if didn't do it the night before. Meet neighbors. Go explore.
TUESDAY: Make coffee. Help new neighbors set-up. Go look at newly forming art installations, get acclimated to desert.
WEDNESDAY: Make coffee. Go volunteer at Center Camp Cafe. Take a solar shower. At night, do some art.
THURSDAY: Make coffee. Go help pick up scraps of wood at The Temple building. Night, go explore.
FRIDAY: Make coffee. Maybe go to Astral headwash to get washed, and then do some washing. Stay up all night, chemically unenhanced (okay...you got me...caffeine, but HEY!) to see the sunrise.
SATURDAY: Make coffee. Take a solar shower. Mediatate. Go to the Burn. Go on an adventure night.
SUNDAY: Make coffee. Relax and converse. Depending on how feel and what camp says, may/may not pack up and depart.
MONDAY: If still on the playa, make coffee. Pack up to depart and hit the Exodus to get flung back into "Reality" world from a week-long daydream. Fuck.
☕ COFFEE CAMP :
"The Social Hub of the Uncivilized World"

CC you might want to pencil in the Meet & Greet on Thursday evening traditionally at Barbie death Camp and Wine Bistro,..... assuming Doc Pyro is going to host it again.

Silly virgin question.

Post by chiefdanfox » Sat Mar 25, 2006 8:00 pm

I am silly, but it might be that question the is sillier:
In the gifting commerce, sitting at someone's bar, probably getting a drink, what is appropriate:
Bring a decent bottle, plastic of course, of vodka, whisky, etc., and have the bar pour me from that, share with others, leave it for others?

Something else? Sing a roaring "Star-spangled Banner"?

I am thinking of a number of gifting ideas, but at a bar, where it seems that the hosts are going large to give, is it appropriate to bring something to keep the bar in business?
Thanks,
CDF
