Thanks Tisha. Sounds like a few bottles is a cordial deal. The bar seems like a lot of work, and since I won't be there early enough to help with the construction (old carpenter, handiman sort, here), a little help keeping the bar wet might be a good deed.

Do you plan on using the tent at other times, the ones you were looking at seemed like they were almost permanent structures , very cool and probably no more trouble than setting up a dome but they look like they could be a pain for a weekend outing,... maybe not

Yes the ones I was looking had all the extras with solid doors. But what I am looking for has no floor no solid doors window can be taped shut for dust storms. I plan to setup desert camp gear. I have about five tents from lite backpacking to 14-person dome tent with diffrent setups But in my reading and what may be needed at anytime in the desert. I want my home to be an oasis and some place unique.

These tents can be supplied with electric harness, modular floors and collapsible furniture as well as solid or PVC doors

dome or tent... I can just buy a tent and I plan to use it for more types of events. but I like domes.

Well, if this place is anything like days past, it might be hard to find folks around here on a Saturday night. I have little ones asleep so I needed to do something quiet and since I came to the conclusion only today that I am >50% sure I am going to burningman this year, I figured I would pop in and see what was happening. It's been several months since I spent any time in any of the various bm related fora.

Yeah, I put any images I post in a directory of an old linux box that I have access to. That box is subject to go away someday but I don't really care, I don't put anything important there. I think it still collects a few thousand spams a day from an address I haven't used in several years, though. I delete the inbox once a month or so.

So I had an interesting little idea for BM06 but I shitcanned it almost as soon as I thought of it. It would be a cool idea but it would require me to babysit it and this year I am not going to get involved in anything that needs a lot of babysitting.

Basically, I had an idea for just a little spot ... a windbreak, couple of picnic tables, couple of propane patio heaters and some liquid refreshment set up out on the deep playa in a different spot every night. People walking around out there might stumble across it and have a nice spot to sit down, warm up and refresh. But I would have to stay with it, so it would be more of a ball and chain than I am willing to put up with this year.
