who will be the 10,000th registered user of the Eplaya???

Post by Chai Guy » Fri Mar 31, 2006 12:10 am

Shhhhh.. We're almost there, just 1 user away from 10,000 users, sure, 8,753 of whom are Russian spam bots, but who the fuck cares!

I say we all personally welcome our 10,000th registered user. Now don't screw this up, and register yet another sock! (and I'll know because I'm logging your IP damn it!)

The suspense is killing me!!

Who will it be???

Can you feel the tension in the air right now as we all sit watching the front door. Who will be our 10,000th registered user?

Will it be a boy? or a girl? or perhaps, just perhaps a robot?

Maybe we should start a pool?

I'm so excited I'm about to pee myself!

FUCK! I has all this cool stuff planned, a parade, a party with dj Lorin, hookers and blow for EVERYONE! What a complete and total let down.

If Spanky would just install that visual verification mod, we might be able to slow these bots down a little.

Oh, and now I owe Desert Duck a beer.

I'm not allowed to delete users, but I'm not sure what the status is with the deletion of spam bot accounts, or how up to date the deletion list is.

There should be some kind of multi-key deletion system, so that when a group of, say five designated people(like some of us who spend so much time on here)agree that an account is a Bot, then that account would be deleted. Having several users involved would greatly reduce the chances of someone abusing the power( not that any of us would, but it's a failsafe).

Read the last post by Emily. It ain't gonna fucking happen. Nobody seems to have the guts, balls, whatever to boot Acext off here so meanwhile the damn invasion of the bots continues. Until the eplaya gets admins (leave the mods out of this) with some goddamned authority to do something that's so fucking obvious nothing's going to change. Perhaps this thread should be merged with the "pissing into the wind" thread as it's the same fucking thing. Some of the changes needed on here using an appropriate quote I read somewhere else are, "so fucking obvious a moron in a hurry could figure it out". Obviously we can't even get to that level around here.

And anyway...

This is not the first person to be #10K.

Remember they deleted enough accounts to be in the 9k range, and the spambots built it back up again.

Don't get me started on this. It's a trust issue, and it's a balance of them having trust in someone to do the right thing VS wanting to keep control of the falling airplaane until it smacks the ground...

Then again... well, like I said, DON'T get me started...

Hey look! They deleted a bunch, so we can end up doing this all over again!

Are you excited yet?! Maybe it'll actually be a REAL person this time.

It's funny that they would delete a bunch and leave ones like "cashadvance007". Oh, yeah, that's a real person, suuuure.

I think they're messing with us, trying to keep user #'s artificially high, so we'll CONstantly be looking for # 10,000. It's a PLOT, I say. A conSPIRacy, even.

So did you get around to creating one yet? At least it would be an eplayan behind it vs. some Russian trying to sell fake Viagra or p0rn stuff.
