Beer.

I'm part owner of a convenience store. It's very small, and I have DSL here, so this is what I do all day at work. Well, when I'm not helping customers, or placing an order, or cleaning the place.

Oh, that's one of the things I get to do here at work is pore through catalogs of beers and figure out what I need, what other people want, etc. So, I'm expecting at some point to have people sending me a list of what they want, and me sending back if I'm the cheapest they can get it. I'm planning to talk to the CO and OregonRed about popping over to grab some of it since they're only 15-20 miles from me. Yes, I'm working out details now. YYAAAAAYYYY!!!!!

LA GRANDE PLUNGED INTO DARKNESS, SILENCE
Fuses blown all over town as college station overloads circuits

Published April 1, 2006

by Noddin Duck Bones

The town of LaGrande and extensive portions of rural Union County were plunged into darkness Wednesday night as student disk jockeys Jeremy Clark and Jenifre Kaysa activated an espresso machine after having plugged just one too many musical devices into KEOL’s inadequate electrical system. Clark, a well-known coffee hound, was at the control board at approximately 10:00 p.m. when red lights went on and the station was permeated by the smell of burning insulation. A loud buzzing sound was quickly followed by tripped circuit breakers, beginning a chain-reaction that ended only when the Bonneville Power Administration isolated Union County from the northwest grid. The telephone lines into town were also affected as a crowd of barflies in a dusty, isolated Nevada hamlet attempted to listen to the KEOL stream on their solar powered, hamsterwheel-overdrive Commodore computer and margarita maker.

The utility companies are working to restore power and telephone service but the people of LaGrande are getting used to life by candle and lantern light. At the Tappa Kegga fraternity house, young men unable to surf websites promising “Brittney Spears - NAKED!!” looked at each other and started conversations. Josh Pitney, manager of the Farm ‘n Ranch, reported brisk sales of G-rated Scrabble® and other board games suitable for family evenings at home. Townspeople strolling by starlight reported some strange sights, including what appeared to be bicycle-riding poultry, a three-eyed, talking goldfish and a shapeshifting bartender with a bottomless barrel of mini-bottles. The congregation at Fifth Baptist spent the night in fasting and prayer, convinced that the end-time was near.

The sun rose on Thursday to reveal a town wreathed in wood smoke as people resorted to old-fashioned means of heating and cooking. Mayor Johnson and police chief Courtney met Clark in his front yard where he was attempting to brew cowboy coffee over an open fire. Offering a cup to his guests, the unapologetic Clark could only say “oonsa oonsa oonsa”. The bewildered officials continued on their way to the edge of town where they met a bridge tender from Oakland, California who expressed an interest in settling in their bucolic village. Sensing doom, the mayor and chief suggested that she might like Plush better.
