I think the Clovers did it first way back in 1959...
Googling got me both the Hollies and the SEarchers. Apparently written by "(Leiber / Stoller) " I only remember the stones covering it, but the truth is I'm the one who got the board to shut down for weeks a few months back by hating the beatles here.

I'm just a rock geek--I never listen to much pop music.

:D EDB, I hear ya. My old man logtruck drives, and when he goes to Washington/Idaho, gets them by the carton. I pay him about $12.00 a carton, or $1.20 a pack (which doen't make the quitting part any easier!)
Well, I just wanted to drop off the picture. Hope everyone has a great Monday! Will be back in later this evening :)

*Lean, red clad stranger, bounds into the bar, dives over the bar and smacks his head on the floor, fumbles around, grabs a cheap scotch off of the lower shelf, and has a large chug. He dives back over the bar, pauses, grabs a cigar and bounds back out of the bar...*

Oh god, I'm sorry... >>>>>>>hugs 2 fisie<<<<<

It's a nasty hard habit to break, the cigar thing, as it's a flavor thing as well as the nicotine.

Stuck my bloody foot in it again, I did... someone kick me *really* hard, please...

I want to buy everyone a drink so we can toast the dumb motherfucker that drove his motorcycle at 80+ mph on a 25mph stretch of road and then had the audacity to blame ME for the patch of gravel that sent him into the big ol rocks that fractured his left femur. He did scream very nicely though, until he passed out. Much easier to treat the unconcious asswipe patient.
