Civic duty, uh huh. I'm gonna sit in a room for 7 hours with a bunch of yahoos (myself included) thinking about how I could be hmmmm, doing laundry or something else fun and exciting. Don't let me forget my book and newspapers that have been piling up.

Hi, Jewel***. Yup, 40, still immature. Y'know, it's not that hard to get out of jury duty. Actually, for me it's impossible to get into jury duty. They take one look at me and they say "oh, never mind-sorry to waste your time, have a nice day".

I don't think you get paid.

Coffee and donuts, nope, don't think so. I need to remember snacks too, thanks for reminding me.

Too bad i don't have a laptop, otherwise I could do this all day.

Yeah, most places it's $15 a day. No snacks unless and until you go into deliberations.

All you have to do when the lawyers start asking questions is say:

"Of course I got my opinions, if they weren't guilty of something, they wouldn't be here" ..."Yeah, I hang out in THE BAR @ BURNINGMAN":D

J***, I'm sorry, I just had to pop in and say this :) ! Right off the bat, in front of the judge, have a very perplexed look on your face, and inquire:
"What I can't figure out is if it was Professor Plum or Ms. Scarlet. Plus, the other thing that's bothering me is if the murder weapon actually was the pipe, or if it could have actually been the wrench...how did the victim end up in the study?...hmmm, questions..."

For reals now, good bye...

Mardi Gras was great- I am surrounded by doubloons from our attic.... guess they were spared from sitting in the cess pool (aka "neighborhood"). Most aren't worth much, but they sure are pretty!
