I racked up a lot of debt this past years trip to BRC on top of the remaining previous years, and I really want to avoid a cash out refinance on my mortgage to save my butt, So I figure the only way out is to not do anything and not buy anything at least till I’m not so far under I can’t see the light.

Well sounds smart tough it out...I screwed up some taxes when I had a boatload of money still owe the IRS 10 grand myself but they can wait...
