This one is for Lurker:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/iraq/

watch it. It is quite accurate describing how, when and why Bush went to war. It documents how the war was decided long before 911.

Yes this is fact and the source is beyond reliable.

Enjoy.

I love it when enough time passes by and we can look back at some of the stupid things people have done in the past.

You know, like when Britney Spears said :'Trust our president in every decision'

http://edition.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Mus ... na.spears/

Oooooh yeah! Now........ she is representative of the Bush followers aye.

Thank God for people like Britney.

Bwwwaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha! how you say....hindsight is 20/20 or something?

Ah. So I take it then, DVD, that your answer is a resounding 'NO"?

You do not question your sources(unless they back Bushco)

You should get out more. The 'right' is not happy with Bush, though their unhappiness stems from different reasoning than yours

Amnesty, McCain/Feingold, the Medicare monstrosity, his lackluster approach to the WoT, all the pork he's passed.

He doesn't have a lot of friends on the right at this point--that's why his poll numbers suck. Not because people are agreeing with the left, but because people are sick of this namby-pamby idiocy of his.

The Plame leak isn't bothering anybody. Nor is the wiretapping. The fact that Iran's mullahs are still breathing is. As is the spectacle of illegal aliens marching in the streets demanding things from a country the 'broke in' to.

PBS, Robert Scheer and Brent Baker are not reliable sources--not taken alone. They're pressing their agenda as much as the right, and Bush are pressing theirs.

The media lies, DVD, all of it, right, left, center, 'corporate', 'government', and independent. They lie.

And their lies are contrived in such a way as to make us think along certain pathweays.

The only safe news source is first hand--or as close to it as you can get(but, the further you do get from the source, the more distortion and bias can creep in).

Doubt the media, DVD, all of it.

Ok I get it now, you are not coworker lurker. You are a new guy here on eplaya.

Look, you are welcomed to post your opinion but be prepared if you cannot post facts to back up your claims as you have just done.

Son, I’ll say this again only for your benefit since you seem not to have read any of what I have posted many times in this thread before.
I am not a democrat, republican nor independent. I do not believe in Left right or center. I know that American politics is BS.

Call me any kind of party affiliate again and I shall mop you with the floor.

The only thing I believe in is RIGHT AND WRONG.

You got that son?

Amazing how people make comments on what may be my opinion but not challenge the facts I post with facts they cannot find that disprove the authors of my cites.

If you can’t disprove the facts I find, have a seat. :P

Prove it?

You don't believe Scheer has an agenda?

If you can read him, and not understand that he backs a specific world-view, then no cites, sites or sights will EVER help you see that agendas don't just come in one flavor.

I asked a question, do you treat the sources you cite with the same distrust you show for other media. And you answered 'no'--not in so many words, but that's what you said.

A position I find ridiculous.

You say that we've been lied to by the media, that we've beem lied to by the government. You refer to cites you don't agree with as brainwashing, propaganda, and all manner of names designed to make the point that those sources are trying to dupe us.

And you never consider that people trying to make the opposite point might not be acting to dupe you as well?

They ALL have an agenda, DVD. Hell, I've got an agenda myself. Maybe we all do.

CITES/SITES!

Moop talker.

If you feel there is nothing you can do to prove me wrong or my cites, then maybe you really cannot prove I am nor my cites are wrong because my cites ARE NOT WRONG.

Another suggestion, use the quotes function at anytime. That's right, quote me or what I post.
If you cant do that dont even attempt to comment on what I post.
If I can do it, surely you can do it because you think you are smarter than I.

C`mon DVD.

Here.

lurker is articulating his particular point nicely, albeit without actually
cutting into the vicera of your argument and premium citage...but is that bad?

...trying to dodge you on this thread would be futile,...so why make it necessary?
In one final act of democratic solidarity I say let it ride...
...give him this wonderful cite you speak of and let him speak
about his nice point without the ridicule reserved for the citeless...
...you could even engage him in his conversation on the disparate views of present day politicos and give him big CITE....or remain citeless as he
insists on doing.

DO IT MAN. You know you must accept this challenge.

"The only safe news source is first hand--or as close to it as you can get"

That's what I thought, but now Ashcroft has lined me up for 10 years in a federal pen with a $300,000 fine. They can drop the hammer any time they like.
I was just trying to find the truth.
Could it be that Gov doesn't want you to be informed. Gov spends so much time spreading disinformation that most people just tune out.
Mission accomplished.
No one can spend the time to feret out the truth and cut through the BS.

Don’t be fooled by what they say, but open your eyes to what they
are doing.

Does our federal government seem to be acting irrationally?

If you were to forget about all the rhetoric for a moment, and only
look objectively at the actions of our federal government, would
you say?

1. Our government is acting in the best interest of the
people and is doing what is right for the country.

Or,

2. Our government seems to be selling us out, and seems
to be acting to serve an agenda of global centralization of power
and control.

We must understand how our perception of reality is created and
how it is being manipulated to suit those in power. This is the key to
our freedom. When our brain receives information, it is first filtered
and edited by our preconceived idea and belief of realty. Our
reality only exists in our mind. Just as a stage hypnotist can implant
a false belief of reality in a subject, previous generations,
television, schools, and the media all serve to implant a belief of
reality in our mind. Those in power know the greatest form of mind
control is repetition, so they constantly reinforced their version of
reality through propaganda. When you open your mind to the idea
that you can create and control your own perception of reality, you
begin to take back your freedom.

Dvd, I'm not sure what you want me to cite--I'm asking about your actions.

Should I cite you, taking the various media sites you cite seriously?

Is that the only way you'll answer?

And yes, cite what sites I post to be inaccurate.. seems pretty simple to me.

And why do I keep getting this 'noob' thing?

This incarnation of me registered before that incarnation of you, DVD--and one of my first posts in this current incarnation was that I was resurrecting a name that died when the....second to last incarnation of the e-playa went away...I think it's second to last...

How long do I gotta be here before I'm not a 'noob'? Till senility sets in?

Don’t be fooled by what they say, but open your eyes to what they
are doing.
My 'they' is so much bigger than yours, Kundalini. You worry about the feds....but they're the least of our worries...

Worry about those not bound by procedure and scrutiny.

I don't trust the left and I don't trust what passes for the 'right'

And I especially don't trust anyone who claims to represent or be working for 'the people'--because they are usually the first to get mean when 'the people' don't do what they want--as this last election showed us. When 'the people' did something that wasn't liked, they were quickly disparaged and derided. I thank the gods we live in this country, because, in other places, when 'the people' don't do what their purported representatives want, they are all to often relieved of their very 'peopleness'--and, in some exteme cases are quickly relegated to 'compost'.

Everyone's got an agenda, and everyone that can is trying to color public opinion to support their agenda. And if reality gets in the way, well, that's just too damned bad for reality.

Here's a tip--governments act in the best interests of themselves--not 'the people'. They seek to secure their enrichment in wealth and power. If that somehow helps 'the people', hurray, it's a two-fer. But it is not their primary concern.

All states should have as little power as possible, strictly defined and localized. The people on the left, screaming about Bush, want it to have more power. The people who agree with Bush--they also want government to have more power(and some of those are right, and some are left).

A tiny minority want government to have less power. A tiny minority want more actual personal freedom. A tiny minority will wind up doing what's best for 'the people' simply because they want what's best for themselves, and they just happen to BE people. And they know that the more freedom everyone has, the better off everyone will be.

Who were you before your incarnation?
I've been lurker for a damned long time. Someone, I think it was the Rebbi, started a 'lurkers thread' years ago. I hadn't found a good name at that point, and the idea just clicked--I DO lurk.

And you know what? I can't remember what name I used before that--it wasn't a good one.

Who's co-worker lurker? You've said that a few times, but I've never seen a post...
