Oh, pretty good. Business is picking up, I think we're gonna make it.

For me it's partly not wanting to post the details at work. There was that party you went to in January. Was that your first in a grand sence or just your first side party at a different type of convention?
The party in January was the first one I went to where that was the sole focus. I've been to Players' Night @ TOA on-playa before, which some people would classify as the same thing - but as Bill Clinton said, it all depends on how you define it.
Well, dang. I'm at a cafe, so I can say it.

My little town has about 8,000. We get some tourist traffic and such.

Oh, to the Playa? I go the back way. It takes about the same amount of time, but it's only 450 miles, and none of it on the freeway.

Taxes done. That was a bite in the ass, but I'm finished.

One drink and then I'm out for the night.

Oh, well if you're popping up this way, feel free to slide in and say hey. There's even a few bars in town, one of them has pool tables and plays electronic(sort of) and another has live music sometimes (pretty good, too). I'm certain I could have someone cover for me.

I'm thinking about the story one of the million Lizzes at the memorial told, now - how it suddenly hit her she wasn't going to walk into the next party and see his smile....

It's funny. I was at the next party, and worked the door. Liz was there - but I was introducing myself that evening by my birthname instead of my playa name, so we were halfway through the evening before we recognized each other.
