MY Friday

This is a copy of the email I sent my boss about 2 minutes ago on why I will be late on Friday. I was just wondering if I am crazy or if other people have these days.

Jeff,

I will be in at some point on Friday but I am not giving estimates as to when.

My Mom and Dad are leaving on a extended (more than a month) trip to Texas and other points tomorrow and I have to be informed by my Mom on how to water the yard, her African Violets, make hummingbird food and all the other stuff I already know how to do.

Then my Dad will spend 5 minutes going over the printed list of bank accounts, passwords and access codes and what I should do with each check that the mail delivers, where the presigned deposit slips and stamped envelopes are and the signed authorizations giving me access to their accounts if I need it.

THEN, when they are about ready to go Mom will insist I have the latest phone numbers for everyone that I programmed into their phones on Tuesday. I will also then be informed on how to feed the hummingbirds (3 cups of sugar and 3 drops of red food dye in 4 cups of boiling water, allow to cool and serve), admonished on keeping her African Violets alive (You could not kill those fucking weeds with a flamethrower) and all the other crap I know that just pops into her mind at the last second.
