Right, so you being an Tippleist is based on belief, not absolute fact, correct? (Since you can't disprove the existence of a Tipple, you just choose to believe there is one based on your own experience.)

Ranger Genius wrote:Or, more to the point, if you answer it repeatedly to a respondent who has the intellectual capacity of a houseplant.

Your imbecilic question has been answered, again and again, by several different posters, in probably a dozen different ways, succinctly and at great length, but still you just repeat it like a defective (and particularly dense) see-n-say.

My plonk list is getting dangerously close to doubling. The fire elf will have good company.
Ah yes, the good old personal attack as argument. Of course *I* don't understand how your argument refutes mine completely, I'm too stupid.

One more time, "genius": using your view of what you believe god's nature would be if he existed to disprove the existence of god in any form is a huge logical fallacy. I don't see how you don't see that.

And I still don't see how, if something can't be proven to not exist, and if you're such a logical person, how you can truly believe that it doesn't exist.
It's what you make it.

At least you spelled magick correctly considering the context in which it was used.

deciding that there is no god comes from entertaining the possibility that there might be one...

once entertaining that possibility, if there might be one, might not there be many?

if there can be many, in the remotest possibility, the greatest display of ability therein must surely be a good direction to turn one's head.

If you've listened to DHS's classic dance track of the "House of God" you know he only needs a $50 donation to improve God's House. Surely $50 is not that much money. See God needs a nice church to come to on Sundays, he needs a nice place to stay when he comes to visit and there are no church services going on so those donations also go towards a nice house in a gated community so he can stay without being hassled. And I almost forgot when he does want to get out he needs a Maybach to ride around in too. Your $50 helps go towards so much! We need that $50 each week now, you don't want to have God see that you don't care about his surroundings now don't ya?

And that $50 from you gets put into the pile with all the other loot we brainwash you into giving so we can go lobby state officials to change the law and trample on your rights while cramming our religious agenda down your throats. We're going to force your kids if they learn anything in public school to learn intelligent design. And we're going to build these opulent temples called megachurches so we have a place to hold all our loot, we can build our own schools to brainwash more kids, and we can continue this moneymaking enterprise in perpetuity. And if we're lucky we'll make it look like we're helping the poor when we're really out to collect government money through faith based initiative programs! This is better than owning your own plates and a printing press for making money...no ink stains or hassle, we can sit back and let the people do "God's work".

God accepts Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, all debit cards, cash, checks, money orders, and even cashiers checks. We are working on offering payroll debit cards so we can skim your $50 right off the top of your paycheck so you don't even miss it. God loves you! And God will love you more when you donate to.....the House of God!

Don't forget the 10% tithing rule. If 10% of your income is greater than $50 God expects you to give that to the House of God without question. Not doing so is a sin! And our multiple translation Bible has scripture in here that backs us up. Don't worry, we modified it a bit so it's easier to read and we made a few translational changes along the way....see what your donations and support allow the House of God to do? It's amazing!

Only if they were wooden ones... >giggles< Naw... it'd have to be stakes, then. Wait... something is ... hellishly... convoluted here!

How do you know there *is* a hell?

And wouldn't saying you feel there's an entity known as Hell make you a theist, as only a the would make such an entity?

And to further... how do we know this "hell" isn't a relatively (in cosmic terms) a recent invention thought up as a control mechanism to subjugate a populace?

So, IMO... you're not going to hell. You *could* be going into your daddy's casket welding business, tho. If that becomes your personal vision (version) of hell, well, that eventuality happening (or not) is up to you.

And if you try to weld wooden caskets, it may not be hell, but there'll be a lot of flames, nonetheless.

Here endeth the lesson for today...
