Having the meet & greet as an even, means every one has to be there around the same time if they want to see people , It makes for a good party. Doc provides wine, Reba! brought a keg of her home brew, last year, bottles Playa pale ale the year before. Rob the Wop didn’t go last year but he sent alone a few bottles of his magic concoction Rain Deer Fucker,... If you can get your breath back after taking a shot, the special ingredients performing brain surgery on you from the inside doesn’t bother you much,.. don’t do more than one shot with out a little time to see if you survive the first.

There is a lot of hugs all around and occasionally discussions or arguments get carried onto the playa but It seemed to me like most people took the opportunity to make peace.

Nice DD! Rick MuGrage came up, and then went later to see him play...was way cool. He's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met/known (he's been a family friend for years, and is really taking off with his debut record) Indeed. How are you doing this eve?

Thanks Duck (I just made areal pot also) Hey Zule! I was thinking about the Meet & Greet and the week long camp. I wonder what's better: A one day slam fest/group laugh time for a day, or the idea of being able to meet/camp/all week long? (The camp's never been done, and I've never been to the M & G, so it's hard for me to have a comparison/opinion...(slurp)

I think it would be good form to ask if Doc Pyro if he plans on doing the Meet & greet again this year, If he does you could schedule a second event some night after Thursday, or maybe a daytime event.

I think if Doc wants to host the M&G then he should. We'd tell people about it when they came by, and when we're all hangin' at BDC during the M&G, we'd tell peeps about the camp. I think the more open and connected the whole thing is the better. Cool.

CC the camp will have people dropping by all week and will offer people an opportunity to meet up earlier in the week and maybe make plans to do stuff together and find out where every body is camped . The Meet & greet event being a limited time insures a critical mass that in it’s self a draw.

It's a good thing you can be on line , during a slow night then for sure it could get real old straightening candy bars with just the radio to keep you company

Oh, I've got a TV that gets 3 channels, 500 movies on tape. Actually on this machine I can watch DVD's and listen to my favorite online radio stations. Yeah, it does occasionally get a little dull-that's why I'm here (in the Bar) so much.

Zule, our main downtown street (Adams Ave.) here in town is about 12-15 blocks, and actually, is the off ramp and on ramp from point to point. I remember back in the day it was cool to "cruise" this gut, looking real sweet because one of my friends had just got a liscence/car...now they just slow me down to 15 MPH when I'm trying to go get a burger!

I'd rather mainline some reefer, snort some cheerios, or smoke some whiskey over watching TV

The town has about 8,000 and the cops would never let the kids get away with cruisin'. We're actually on a tourist route, lots of bikers come through on sundays, that kind of thing. Lots of my customers live within a few blocks and don't own cars.
For now, I don't really have bills except for the store, but I'm hoping to move into an actual place soon.

E D, it's you guys that make it worthwhile to hang out here-otherwise I'd just have online porn to look forward to. lol

Hey ED! I have two T.V.s, and havn't turned them on in over a year (no shit!) But, then again, I don't have cable...but even if did, I'd still just listen to tunes, because you can still move around and get stuff done, as opposed to staying glued to a piece of glass with flashing images flickering behind it.

I tend to have public TV on some evenings while I’m on the computer, and want to hear some voices I can’t remember the last time I sat down to only watch TV.

Heya CC--wow...I woke up about 12:30 and finally crawled out of bed around one p.m. Holay molay--it was wet snowing outside so I was in the hermit mode for most of the day until 5 p.m.--then I went out and pulled weeds along a fence for one of my customer's properties...
