I'm sure pilots have had times when they need to override autopilots, like when another 747 cuts 'em off. You honk the horn, roll down the window & flip the other aircraft off....then just keep flying to your destination. Anything goes in international airspace.

Computers have glitches, pilots have rationale.

I HATE computer controlled automobiles. When something goes wrong, you can't troubleshoot it yourself & fix it with toolbox tools, you have to get the damn thing scoped, and technicians cost a helluva lot more than mechanics.
And also, I want to see guages and not have to rely on idiot ights. When idiot lights come on, that means it usually is too late to do anything about it.

Hey, CC -- have a good night--I'm heading off to dreamscapeland too....I'll see ya at the show tomorrow night,

<yawn> Hi y'all.. I'm never in bars this late, but thought I'd stick my head in and see what was shaking...

(I think its funny that the number of you who messaged me to invite me to the bar didn't actually tell me WHERE to find it.. good thing I'm functional, eh?)

Snap-on Tools is still around, at least in mid-BC where the SOT guy spent three hours with my sister today, going through my dearly departed bro-in-law-ish's tools to give them an approximate value.. my dad and I were guessing around $40, 000 worth of tools (almost typed "toys" there).. trucker and highly skilled truck mechanic, who'd collected tools for prob 30-odd years...

And, cool bike mods :) Dad and sis (once all the wrap-up crap is dealt with) are revamping a kiddie trailer so I can haul huge amounts of adult-sized hula hoops with my bike around Vancouver.. I'm hoping to have it sometime in late May.

If there's a bartender around here, I'd love a Shirley Temple.. quick hit of sugar before bedtime..

X.

Niiiiiice.... (and then I also thought "Sweeeeeeet".. and realized that was funnier!)

Another night when I have more energy (and hopefully not during the day when I'm supposed to be doing functional work), I'll poke around in the other Bar topic place, where it looks like my question of "why the hell do we chat via forum posts?" will probably be answered..

But thanks for the drink :) Cheers! ./clink I'm off to bed, perchance to dream of BurningStuff.. hopefully to sleep at least a full eight hours for the first time in a week-and-a-bit. G'night!

X.

Okay, mine doesn't look like this but it tastes really good-not what I'm having tonight but something I'd like to do on the Playa for Y'all. It's pesto lamb, and on the playa it'll have no bones. Do I need to bring my own BBQ? I'll ask on the Tribe discussion. Anyway, I'll be doing the seasoning before I bring it out so it can suck up the marinade.
