Well that was interesting...

Real close lightning strike tripped a breaker to the first floor lights. Makes me edgy when it gets that close. But not as close as one time some years ago, when I was at a camp a little bit east of here. I saw the lightning and heard/felt the thunder at the same moment. It was little more than a hundred feet away in the woods. I could taste it on my tongue and smell the ozone in the air... now THAT was freaky.

The storm seems to be dissipating according to the radar. Rain is a good thing... makes stuff grow and be happy. But like much in life, it’s a trade-off.

Oh... and rockdad... I did actually unplug the computer. I don’t trust those surge protecters all that much.

ok... so I'm gone as quick as I got here. Just wanted to say I'm still in one piece.

(preps the coffee maker for in the morning and walks back into the shadows)
