In Christo’s case I think the product is more of a culmination of a performance art piece the actual piece is the shmozzing and stroking that gets the pieces financed , he must be really good at making the self appointed art intelligence feel good about themselves ,.... I have to say I did like the islands , but not much since.

I still think even if you keep an audience, or other precipitance in mind, even if it is a collaboration, you still make things for your own gratification. ultimately art like love is a selfish endeavor.
