Okay, so it started out that I came up to help my mom move. Then a friend of her's came up with a plan for them to open a convenience store, saying she'd back it (financially), and my mom could work it. So I started helping to install shelving, etc. Then they opened, and I started researching and realized they had only one of the five licenses they needed. Anyway, mom's partner had been promising me a salary, but hadn't paid anything. Couple months go by, we get all our licenses, I'm working 7 days a week, mom and Molly get in a fight. Then the State comes calling says they have to pay me now. Meanwhile I'm getting a little batshit from being cooped up for so long(tiny town, no money). So, anyway-I may end up moving back to S.F. and working with my buddy Bear. Nothing's decided, yet. Molly's stalling, I'm trying to get some kind of deal to happen, State wants me either on the partnership(I'm not, currently) or to get paid. Now. And my buddy Bear needs my help. ASAP.
So there's the whole story, think I'll have a beer, want one?

Lousy story... I'll take a philosophical beer, just to keep you company whilst drinking...

I'm just here for a quick bit, off to bed soon... shorting myself on sleep two nights in a row is not good for a pleasant Xta..

(and I meant that in the "lousy thing to happen to you" sorta way, not a "lame story, why share?" way.. hope you realized, not sure if my tone always makes it across ;( )

Guh. I'm gonna go crash.. mebbe restrict myself to just one chapter of my new book.. then, more polo tomorrow, hopefully NOT in the rain and misty fog this time! Pretty sad when you can't pass the ball more than 5m down the pool, due to limited visibility.

Have good nights, everyone.. and DD, hope things work out really well for you and your mom and your friend.. take care :)

Thanks. Life's not bad, but I don't know what's gonna happen. I'm not starving or anything, fact I'm gaining weight. The store's picking up steam, and I have my amusements (dsl and a couple hundred movies). Most everybody here likes me, it's just too small town. Anyway, here's an O'Doul's for you, Xta (non-alcoholic) and a quart of Racer 5 for me.

Rice checks except with beans yeah , not so much carbon , so it would cause less of a headache were it to bonk you at a high velocity.

LOL... yeah, I eat breakfast in the tub, usually with a book in hand, too... have only ever met/dated one other person who does it.. just saves time in the morning! (or extends the legitimate amount of time one can spend lazing in the tub :)

Yeah, decent day out.

Personally, I like to drink beer in the shower-I'd stick one in the freezer when I got off work, take care of whatever else I needed to, get my stuff together for a night out, then hop in a screaming hot shower with an ice cold beer. Great way to shift gears.

stop it Zule.................i'm not popular. actually where I live i am considered scary, unapproachable and just plain ole mean. I think i'm just misunderstood. I don't waste my time sucking up to people who i have no interest in. But, once you're my friend, always my friend. I will do anything for ya. That has only gotten me in trouble once, but it's a story i'll tell only in person and after partaking in much drinking or other mind altering substance.

How are you?

Jewel-baby.. the important question is, can you become friends with people who are somewhat like you in those respects? :)

I hate sucking up to boring people.. and small talk makes me uncomfortable (and feel boring myself..)... but only my ex-staff thought I was scary :) (and that was just some of them..)

Yeah, beautiful day here too... some friendly polo, then laying on the pool deck sunning and reading while a friend finished working, then suuuuushi and gossip for lunch :)

I wanted to ask folks to share a recollection... if you were to label one (or ten, or twenty) favorite moment(s) on the playa.. what would they be?

no,no,no...........they just know that i'm now helping DD with the bartending duties. I almost quit the other day though it was so stressful.

I've also been told that I have the personality of a man. Don't know exactly what that means, but..............can i get you anything from the bar?
