Oh, forgot to say hi and welcome to MiSalsa.. loved your intro story :) Any plans to tie other people up in their/your sleeping bags? :)

RD - yeah, I was totally stoked at how well she captured my body-positive slant on hooping... Ariel (who got the cover shot on the actual paper, but that's okay because it is a GORGEOUS shot) is just a little tiny thing... so I'm glad the big, powerful, sexy, sensual stuff made it in too :)

DD - mmm... hot chocolate? With a cherry? :)

Thanks, Salsa.. that was from my first gig as a professional hooper.. I was a black widow spider in the Anansi Spider zone at a Mardi Gras party back in February... actually, THAT pic was from my practice-makeup session, when I realized just how cool false eyelashes really are!

OOOh! Just remembered the question I wanted to ask you experienced types (prompted by CC's story for me)... massage on playa, as something I'm planning to be gifting.. do oils work? Or does it just create a mud due to the dust people are covered in? Advice welcome, as always :)

Ok bar-peeps...

I'm outta here for the night. If Z stops in, tell him I said "Hey".

Be safe in your journey(s) Salsa. Stop in here anytime. You're always welcome.

Thanks for the welcome and the wonderful drinks. So, does anyone know any Burners in Atlanta or surrounding area? I think I will help myself to some more wine. I have to say it is wonderful being Karine's salsa. Nobody I would rather cuddle with!

If you are still excited when I specifiy that I was planning to gift HAND massages.. think I mentioned this way back when I first stumbled into the bar, but I figure hand massages are a gift that is a) easy to give b) lovely to receive, c) an excuse for me to get some physical contact that doesn't get close to other boundaries d) something to keep my hands busy since I won't be knitting.... .. anyway, yes, I figure everyone in Bar Camp is welcome to plunk down beside me and sit and be hand-rubbed...

So... the stash of professsional-grade oil that I get from my massage therapist friends might still be messier than a regular hand lotion out in the open? K, cool... I'll bring both :)

Oils work, and are helpful in being able to do what you need to, due to the dust. I had a wonderful massage from a neighbor last year with oils. I would suggest bringing them.

It IS a beautiful picture, framing, lighting, to have timed that shot while the hoop was spinning AND get a decent facial expression.. I'm not bitter about not getting the cover, because it is so frickin' lovely.

SPEAKING of lovely... DD, that spread is SOOOOOO amazing.. that if I was a bolder girl, I'd be tempted to offer myself as a "bodyshots" platform for all that creamy chocolate..mmmmmmmmMmmmm...

:)
