Basically it is a toasted cheese sandwhich made with beer or Ale. Might be good on the playa and it is easy to make.

I like doing grilled cheeses cuz cleanup is easy. Actually, I'll have my eggpan out there which means I won't be using water to clean it most of the time.

I will send you the recipe if you like, Turns out it is one of the recipes I didn't lose when my hard drive crashed a few years ago. I use Scottish ale when I make it. You can use any type of beer or ale that you want although I would stay away from the big name American beers.

If you absolutely have to, you can use them for some beer batters and chili recipes, but I wouldn't recommend it. When I was living up in Seattle and managing for Zeek's pizza, one of the local brewers came in and introduced himself, then offered a tour of the brewery and brewpub. After the tour, we sat down to sample every beer he made and had some of their bar food-consisting of baby burgers, Ahi sandwiches, Mahi-mahi, all with dipping sauces made with their beers. The place is called Maritime, and their beers are good, but their food and sauces are fantastic.

Where I am (western Kentucky) The only import I can get is Guinnes. In fact that is the only stout that is available here. Being fond of stout this is kind of dissapointing.

It's a good site for pics of beers too. If there's a pic of the beer you're looking at just click the pic then copy the url. Here's one of my most favorite beers ever.

Probably have a hard time finding it out there. I'll dig for the site and PM it to you when I find it, there's someone who ships beers. Or maybe try Bevmo, they're in Cali and they ship. I gotta run an errand, be back in 30 if you're still up.

(BoxB places half empty bottle on the bar and writes recipe on a napkin)

(muttering to self) Better git while I can still walk. Time to go and crash.

LOL Yeah.. having left my position-with-benefits back at the beginning of January, I've had to struggle through one week of too-sick-to-do-anything.. but that was back when I was still stressed and worried about how I'd support myself... now that things are coasting along happily, and I'm sooo much more relaxed than I was in that job, I don't seem to be getting sick so much. injured, yes :) Sick, no.... so I gotta keep making sure that I have lots of work opportunities I can do even if I get disabled.. and the recent joyous reception to a draft knitting pattern I want to sell to my local yarn store has been quite a nice reassurance that I don't need to rely on hooping alone for income :)

I think I'm going to try to crawl back to bed, and see if I can drift back off for another couple hours at least.. talk to you later, hope you feel better soon.. sick and cranky is no fun :)

X.

DAD AND DAUGHTER ARE JUVENILE DELINQUENT'S The son is the straight one playing online military type shooters, joining military, studying fire sciences and thinks everyone going to Burning Man are goofball druggies running around naked in mud pits while drumming tribal beats and burning crap.

I tried to explain that the drug's are optional
