That's the problem with being a West Coast night owl, everyone else hits the sack waaay too early (though I'd like to know where all of you were when I was awake at 5am this morning.. Zoool was the only one around to keep me company!)
BOx - yeah, the committment of buying the ticket is pretty damn exciting..

:) That was me the day my ticket arrived...
G'night Chat, and anyone else heading off..

LOL.. I just realized that "Bubbles" is me! I think you're refering to the picture.. but Bubbles was the name of my... antipersona? There's a better word for that... y'know, the uber-opposite of what you are? Anyway, as a shy, harsh, serious teen, I figured "Bubbles" was just about as far from me as a person could be.. sorta like a bubbly, outgoing cheerleader type :)
(k, now I'm actually closer to being a Bubbles than I have ever been at any other point in life.. pretty funnt!)
Sweet Dreams, Zool..

'night, Karine! Hope they are good dreams.. it was a super powerful Burning Man dream that made me jump in and take the step of buying the ticket, even when I was freshly unemployed and not sure how my income was going to be generated at that point...
But, going along with a lovely tarot reading I had done on new years eve, Feb was disappointing (fallout from leaving work and trying to get my boss disciplined/reigned in) but everything has been stellar since :)

Noooo.. though I do have a deck that I bought for its nifty art (not a common set.. would have to go look at it to remember it, but weird/interesting art.. mebbe I'll bring it with me to the playa).
My roomies hosted a party at our house on NYE (most of my friends here are rather antisocial.. I hang out with them one-on-one, not in larch batches), and one of the guests was also a semi-social type, who decided that rather than hanging in the main room with the crazies, she'd scoop one of the bedrooms and offer private tarot readings for the rest of us.. my cards really did rock for the year :) not much specifics about love and relationships, but tons of success in everything I attempt :)

When I first got the deck, I was doing daily draws... but the art makes it feel fairly powerful, and I wasn't putting in enough study to feel that I was actually, hm... containing that power? .. so I stopped playing. (that was part of it, too.. I knew that it was "play" for me, and I didn't feel like I was honouring the possibilities of the cards, so I stopped)
Alrighty, I'm crashing... RD, hi, bye :) Everyone else, g'night, nice chatting a bit with y'all... (y'know, I don't actually say "y'all" in person.. more of a "you folk" user, but it doesn't feel like it types right.. <shrug>)
Ta!

<He stumbles in the frontdoor, barely able to lift his heels over the jamb>
Where did eveyone go? I need an eyeopener.
<putting down his battered cane, he slides onto a bar-stool>
Guess I'll have to help myself. Damn hippy bar.
<reaching over to the barrel , he pulls out a Maker's Mark bottle>
A toast to the defeat of the French, oh wait, Cinco de Mayo was ...when?
<He slides off the stool, grabs his cane, and slowly drags his way out>
Damn hippy bar!, he mutters dissappointedly. He drops a 20 in the jar.Where's a friend when ya needs one?

Love it. It's alittle late (about 3:30 AM PST) but it's all good...just wanted to say hello before bed. I'm abit enebreated right now (alot actuallly) but just wanted to say that come August 28th, I can't wait to meet each of you at the Bar Camp. Wow, what a concept...I bunch of good people (without meeting in person) could pull together to form a physical location to host a great social center...in the middle of a inhospitable climate. I'm calling it right now...this will be one week in our lives that we will remember and hold until our last breathes. It is a future thought, but one I will stick too. Indeed. Let and live what your life was meant to do on planet Earth. Freshness...will talk more in the coming days.

I'm still snickering about your description of your son..
Ah well.. time to get ready to head.. I was so tired last night that when I gathered my stuff together to get off the bus, I forgot the gallon/4L jug of milk I had put on the floor :( So.. breakfast will happen somewhere else, and I need to get all my hoops together for the stagette party and workshop (two seperate groups, woo!) I'm doing this afternoon...
I'll be staggering back in later tonight.. hope someone brings in a massage table for me :)
