Got another idea. in addition to the Labyrinth we are doing, my company has a shit ton of logs to destroy, they are to checked for lumber use and arent the right species for wood production so they cant be sold as chips, We usually chip them into the forest to rot and decay but this years contract has us drag them from the forest as part of the deal.

I was thinking of dragging a log truck load of poles down to make a massive bon fire, maybe two loads. its not that far from Boise (less than a days drive there and back for a professional truck driver) and they are both self loading trucks.

Anyone like the idea of an aggie style burn (smaller scale of course) I have never burned anything at BM so can someone explain the bureacratic process to me before I waste Bmorgs time?

Hiya folks! I have a handful of pages to go wade through to catch up... but *IF* this video link works, you can see what I was doing yesterday (inbetween the actual workshops with other folk, I had 30 min of quiet studio time to dance around by myself :)

Thanks, BC <blush>.. yeah, dancing is the one thing I've always been good at.. beats, phrasing, etc, comes without thinking.. as an outcast in high school, the day I won the twist contest was the best day of my life <smirk>

And, the dreads are coming.. I didn't realize HOW MUCH WORK they would continue to be.. takes me two days to get through tending them all, whenever I rewax or goop 'em. Ah well, I still like how they make a plain ponytail look funky :)

Couple new faces in here today I haven't met before.. howdy, folks!

And Mozy - nice work on the poster... if we actually wanted to schedule it, Bar Camp could host a hoopdown geared at first-time hoopers.. I'd spread the word through the Hula Hooping Tribe, TONS O burners in that community...

Been busy with school...

Celebrating 2 weeks without a cigarette tonight!!! Silly to be so proud but, it's goddamn difficult!

Anyway, thought I would celebrate by coming on and catching up... Do I know how to live it up, or what?

I've heard that The Deep End is a pretty big draw for hoopers... and at a few other locations (Hookadome?), have seen footage of the Groove Hoops gang performing somewhere inside a big tent...

TITWI, would *I* be talking about something if it was dirty? <evil grin>

OregonRed - congrats!!!! Be proud, acknowledge the difficulty, and stay strong until you get to the point where it becomes natural again to be a non-smoker :) Good for you for taking the steps to quit!

And, the Bar is a damn fine place to celebrate just about anything :)

I've probably quit smoking 20 times, so I'm very experienced at it. What I've found is that longer you go without smoking, the more it tastes like dirt when you do. Of course you don't want to taste dirt, right?

There! Wasn't that helpful?

'Twas killing me. 'Tis why I quit. But, this is like the 5th time I've quit. Not really sure why it's working this time, but I'm delighted that it is!

X- the hoop thing is AWESOME!!! Looks like much fun!
