'morning folks... ED, thanks for the shots, I'll pass them along to the folks up here who enjoy that sorta thing :)

Fishy: yeah, yummy! That was my big culinary experience during a trip to Australia.. went to an AMAZING thai place by Manly Beach, was my first intro to thai food and it was GOOOOOD. Since then, I've been to another place in Seattle called the Wild Ginger, with polo friends from San Fran who call me down to play for their team at that tourney, and we spend HOURS and HOURS there, with soooo many tasty dishes circling the table and being shared.. soooo good :)

I don't remember if DD said that it was something do-able on the playa, or if we're now working on the creme brulee concept (and rice pudding, I hope!)

I wonder if I could live off rice pudding for a week on the playa? :)

I was thinking of dragging a log truck load of poles down to make a massive bon fire, maybe two loads. its not that far from Boise (less than a days drive there and back for a professional truck driver) and they are both self loading trucks.

Anyone like the idea of an aggie style burn (smaller scale of course) I have never burned anything at BM so can someone explain the bureacratic process to me before I waste Bmorgs time?

You have to have something underneath it so that it doesn't make a scar on the playa and you have to haul out your ashes. (People might be willing to take some for thier compost heaps.) IT's on the main sight--there's a procedure.

I'm worried about scheduling it during something else wonderful/fascinating/amazing :) Any suggestions for timing, also considering heat of the day issues? And, I can't remember, but is Bar Camp going to have a lil' sound system, so we can hear something to hoop TO? :)

There is always something going on on playa. just don't schedule it for saturday or sunday night. Thursday is the meet and greet, so some of the peeps on this board would be torn. Pick something that works for you and don't fuss. Sensory overload in a stripped down desert landscape.

I'd love to learn hooping! I'd suggest a time while you still have some sunlight near the end of the day.

Heh, "duh".. silly me :)

I've posted a query on the hooping tribe, to see if I can at least avoid scheduling it during any other major hooping performances/gatherings.. and I'll see what they come back with :)

Time to go get on with my day.. I love spring that feels like summer!

Good morning/afternoon - just in to refill the mug. Thanks for the notes, CC and TITWI. The subject is hair care? Maybe I'll just polish or paint my glowing dome. Later!

g'morning!

thai coconut curry is totally doable on the playa. ya just have to keep the perishables from, um...perishing before you cook em up. and i usually cook stuff like rice & pasta at home, then ziplock it and then just reheat it on the playa. takes forever and a lot of water to boil anything out there.

y'all are making me want dreads again.....

coffee!!!!!
