Once heard a piece on the CBC about curries, which they defined as spicy stews for this study on how the spicy ingredients had antibiotic properties and the closer you got to the equater the spicier you got. A lot of these recipies were developed before reliable refridgeration so you had to have some sort of power to knock out bugs. They included chili as a curry.Box Burner wrote:DD, as I understand it there are well over 200 sauce mixetures that fall under the name Curry. It seems that When The brits had ther fingers in India they just called all of the dofferent family spice mixtures curry since that was a common ingredient. They are in fact quite different.

If they have patterns already say something like "I really like the patterns, I have one, what's the best way to submit--or here it is." If they don't "your cotton inspired me and I'd like to share this with you, here are examples of other yarns having projects." That's just off the top of my head, sales are not my strength either.Xta_G wrote:Anyone have suggestions for how I go about opening this proposal? "Hi! I've created a pattern showcasing your Organic Cotton. Would you be interested in buying the pattern to publish yourselves?"

Haven't seen that one, but it does make sense. Spicy food can really make you break out in a sweat and get your lymph nodes to release all the bad stuff out of your body.

I'm a red curry fish. Mostly because I so totally in love with red curry that I never tried the yellow and green. and then there is peanut sauce, the nectar of the gods...

I didn't see it, no - I've been hit-and-miss here in the Bar for a few days, and expect that trend to continue for the rest of the month. :-/ I actually haven't gone beyond garter stitch scarves in my knitting, yet (I've got yarn ready and waiting for a Clapotis, but $DEITY knows when I'll actually sit down and figure it out), so asking me to proof a pattern would be...a challenge. *laugh* But thanks for thinking of me!Xta_G wrote:Koosh, didja see my note about knitting earlier today? I'm looking for pattern proofreaders, are you interested?

Anything purple is mine. Anything else can be dyed or painted.
Hm... you actually might be ideal.. I'm not asking for proofers to find mistakes, but people to read the instructions for clarity! I teach an intermediate class (if you can knit and purl, you can take my class) that is all about creating texture with just knit and purl, and then cables (SUPER EASY in case you were wondering) and eyelets (somewhat less easy, not but hard...)
If you're interested in taking a look, toss me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you the Word file... formatting will prob be buggy, but if you can read through it and let me know what is automatically confusing, that would be a huge help.
X.
