(voice from under the teble)
hi TITWI
keep geting this buzzing in my head ... something about modems and cables and viruses. then I pass out. when I wake up again I am under this dumb tale.

The homeowner found the griffin. They wanted it to be the starting newel. Sorry that I can't seem to post from the tribe site so you guys could see what we're talking about.

Technically I am not working in true wrought iron. I use mild steel mostly. Wrought iron has silica fibers in it... makes it doughy and fiberous. weathers well too because of that. There's still one foundry I've heard of in the UK that produces the stuff in small batches but its big bucks.Rockdad wrote:Are you working in Wrought Iron?
But if you can have a scrap yard nearby and somebody is tearing down an old bridge...
Zule... how the heck are you tonight?

Thanks!!
That texture is produced by a combination of the oxidation in the flame of the forge (propane fired) and actually working the metal under the hammers.
Its always fun to see how it turns out when you brush it down and put the finish on it.

It is all fun stuff ,... I’m still slipping into the reality of it , I’d become programmed to have a degree of separation from Burning Man things as sort of a self protection thing it would have been to heart breaking other wise but now I can give that up and really feel apart of things again. and it feels so good.
