About DnB Camp

Post by Airy » Sun Jan 29, 2006 5:15 am

Actually,I haven't been Burn before. But I notice about this festival for 5 years, and this year,I plan to join you guys!
(I'm poor in English,so....hope you guys can understand what I say.)

At first,I just wanna experience the fun of Burn, take some pic or anyothers. But I notice about some ppl wanna gather some music performers like djs or IDM performers to create a them camp.I think I'm very interesting in this ,maybe someone can tell me more idea about how to participate in a camp or what I can do....

Thanks for your helps.

Hey there Airy, don't worry about the english. I've seen some Americans and British do about as good a job as you do :) Finding a camp when you come from outside of the USA is really needed, and the trick is to just get out there and 'advertise' yourself.
Either wait for people to reply or step over that fear and email a group that seems like you'd like it. I tried both, and the last one is what got me to find a camp.

I'm an enourmous drum and bass fan (darker the better!) and have been thinking about hopefully hooking up with a camp for a while. What are your plans? I would be coming with a friend.

Am willing to work for shade! :?

i checked out the carousel website... very nice. there looks to be a good group shaping up here so far - i recognize mic rage and sandwichman both from our DJ roster at Want It last year. any idea which side you hope to be camped on? did carousel go through the official registration process or is the plan to go renegade style? thanks!

DnB DJ from Indianapolis here!

I spin primarily liquid and jazzy stuff, but I've got a pretty large collection spanning many styles. Anyhow, you can check out my mixes here.

Nothing quite like spinning records on the playa. If you like the mixes, hit me up! I'd love to come spin at as many camps as I can this year.

I subscribed to this New York list and now I'm getting 20-30 e-mails a day and few if any I've found deal with drum n' bass theme camps. How do I take my name off the list? I tried writing to the above address and it keeps saying I'm already listed.

So this looks good....all this.....
Gotta echo what someone else said a page back: last year I wandered and went nuts from an overexposure of techno, house, bad breaks, oh did I mention trance? Yeah there might have been some trance....

Not that all that stuff is absolutely terrible...in mild doses maybe, but I'm terribly excited to see a potential influx of DnB and phatass Breaks coming for '06.

And so I see a lot of individual DJ's looking for connections, at least four or five boasts of DnB centered or inclusive camps so far, and I figure, as someone who just wants to hit as many of these up as possible thru one week, perhaps some of these camp organizers could pool resources and try to have a comprehensive list of the relevant camps, either online or listed in the W,W,W.

See all you madmen and crazyladies on the dancefloor. I'll be the one with the djembe strapped to me.
You call it malt liquor, I call it breakfast.
