BB Sue is always right, and on target-- well, sometimes AS target... but she is known to be indestructible... we shall see.

I appreciate her skill in delivering education to the masses. The modern history of the mitt... say, post 1880s, has hardly been delved into by historians. I mean.... most high school text books go from Roman uses for flaming coal bombs in catapults... then skip RIGHT to fucking Betty Crocker and goddamn bran muffins for Pete's sake. Whole centuries are omitted.

Thanks BB for a missing link.

Did to wonder about the parade - is big celebration with coffin leading parade. Nice to celebrate their Constitution Day with acknowledgment of their doom.

On the other hand, if the phrase Doom is Fading is correct, we think it VERY appropriate that it be on the coffin of the dearly departed--- prophetic I say.

Since I seem to be the (un)official Herring vs. Doom arbiter of
linguistic snafoos, I'll point out that the wagon would be called
a "Parade Float" in the US. If it were a good deal larger, that is.

We generally call them hand-drawn Hearses. Come in handy when the populace hasn't the strength to be proper pall bearers.
