Trey does not bug people for no reason.

I'll leave it at that.
Well suprise.

That means you 2 were being nice and saying Things that otherwise were'nt being upfront about.

Not suprising.

Hey look.

I've been on Harriets board since the begining of September. I've read everything you guys have written about me and others on the board. Even the last most recent from K. about how i've mellowed a bit.

Guess what guys. I did'nt mellow, you grew . And grew accustomed to me.

You guys are the most simplest jr. high school click I have ever run into.
Burningman never used to be that way.

I do not do the 2 time faced things you guys do. Nor do i complain like children when change happens and run away. I've done what none of you had the guts to do. Stayed and tried/offered to do something about it.

Aforseforgood, tried ok and a few others. H seemed to be nice on this board. On her board it's something else.

Once everybody gets in that silly clickish way it's ridiculous.

Look I don't pick on anybody here. If that's fun for you then hey ....great.

There are a lot of people that come here for the first time and don't KNOW YOUR RULES when they get here. Myself included. I have greeted as many as I could here when I see that they are new.
That's a "meet and greet".

I dont give much advise because you all seem to do great at that. but I have not done anyone as much harm as what I've seen you guys do to me that spill over inadvertently to other people and the results can be horific.

It seems like it's too much trouble for you guys just to be honestly be nice.

Hey I may not be a writer but I am a darn good reader and a good artist and a goo musician amoungst other things. I can understand that you want me to be GOD. But I'm not.
Things of late have been fun up till Trey started trolling me ....and has admitted to doing so.

nevermind. do whatever.

I'm staying, exodus as it be.

I'll wait here as this BBS gets better.
Even as the OH's feel it's never going to.

And I would like to give my thanks and appreciation to the people who worked to put this thing together. Emily Sparkle and technopatra and any others. One post with a couple of kind words like this gives me the strength to wade through a hundred painful ones. And I need to be able to do that to learn what needs fixing, and prevent the exodus of wonderful people like..well..everyone in this thread, for sure.

Thanks to everyone who can find it in their hearts to give us a break as we try to improve things.

Re: that survey: I think that "too many threads" and "difficult to navigate" should be combined into one answer. To me, it is difficult to navigate (and find what I'm looking for" BECAUSE there are too many threads.

DeFacto, You make a good point. And I think that I've heard many indications that the situation will be remedied.

However, general bbs protocol (no matter which bbs you're talking about) would be to "lurk" and get the feel for how things are run in a particular forum. Once a person gets the flow of a place, it is then time to jump into the current.

That pause for orientation didn't seem to happen in a number of notable instances with recent arrivals to this bbs.

To your credit, I think that you have made huge improvements in posting here. Your posts are now legible and generally coherent. Kudos to you.

The biggest mistake I've made (lately) was to stop lurking and start posting. I've lost all self-respect. I may be dumb, lazy and ugly, but you know what? I feel especially dumb, lazy and ugly by hanging around here...

I'm ready to make the decision to stop attending the event, and I'm afraid I'll end up like (?) and post in the hundeds even though I'm too cool for school.

Goodbye to Lydia, the Rev and a few other kind souls.

I haven't really left yet either, but my usage is 'way down. The reasons being that the "reply" and "quote" buttons are skitchy and stuttery. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing Roulette figuring out whether the "Reply" button at the top or the bottom will dump me onto a blank page that never rezzes up. Too often I wind up catching myself saying "Fuck it" and hitting the back button and THEN the damn page appears, just as it's going back [smoulder]

Don't know whether it's my browser or what but somehow I get the feeling the e-playa webmasters would account for browsers that aren't exactly bleeding edge.

The avatars are cool. Could do without the "Your message has been successfully sent, click here to view/Click here to go back to the index" page right after you hit the "Submit" button. On the old board, you just hit "Send" and bingo! The page with your post on it comes up automatically. That's confirmation enough for me, just gimme the good stuff.

wow, "what's old is new again"...........well, to me anyway, this thread is sort of relevant.
Certainly interesting, to see who's "still here", and, noting some here, are socks of themselves from long ago.

I think plonking has made a difference in the climate. Of course, I don't remember the old eplaya much, I never found it useful or fun. This current version is what I know, so it is what I am comfortable with.

Good bump, we'll see if we need it later this summer.

In the meantime, let me suggest that everyone makes sure their email address here is current, and you have your avatar pic on file elsewhere.

So, if you have left and are still lurking, or are packing to leave, please take a moment to tell us why. We would like you to stay, so please help us understand.

Also, if you would, please explain how your answer relates to the OLD EPlaya, i.e. how it was better in the poll option you chose.

If you are plannning on staying, please do not skew the results of the poll. Or just eff me and do what you want. :P
WOW this is the first post in this thread and it is dated 2003. My god, that's over eight years ago. EIGHT YEARS SINCE THIS BOARD HAS BEEN UPGRADED!

That is shameful. The board should be updated EVERY time an upgrade is available for the software. I'm wondering when the server was updated last. If the answer is also eight years ago, that's even more shameful.

Can't wait for the new upgrade. Hope it's both hardware and software.
