It was tough. There was just Z, ESD and myself. We tried to save her. But there was 18 of them dicks and only the 3 of us. They got to her before we could finnish them off.

A very nice day for a change. Yesterday lost a day of work while a plumber fixed our shower. Today a beautiful sunny day, wife's store busy. Then went to a friend's 50th birthday party - on a boat cruising the Potomac. Met some nice people, really enjoyed it. What is more precious than such good friends?

If my roommates weren't all away on various camping trips, they would have heard me burst out laughing at this one.. nice, Box :)

Hi/bye...no time to chill at the bar if I have any hopes of getting close to 8 hours before heading back to the pool... BUT, I figured out a couple new hoops moves this morning.. and managed to take a good patch of skin off my cheek in the process =I

G'night, good playa dreams! (oh, and wish for me that I don't have a repeat of last night's rat dream.. <shudder>)

Rediscovering Hemingway these days:

“If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good, and the very gentle, and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too, but there will be no special hurry.”

“I know the night is not the same as the day: that all things are different, that the things of the night cannot be explained in the day, because they do not then exist, and the night can be a dreadful time for lonely people once their loneliness has started.”

Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.”

No..like I said, I was turning on my espresso machine......

Actually "they" closed all roads and river traffic for 5 miles......probably not for safety, but to avoid a "spectacle of massive proportions" like tra-fuck jams.

2 years to build,, 8 seconds to destroy

And even more stupid, in 5 - 10 years we are going to have to build more nuke plants..........

Have you seen movie"China Syndrome"? The control room is a replica of the one @Trojan........but then, so is the one on "The Simpsons"..I guess if Homer Simpson ran it, it is no wonder it neeeded to come down..
