I think zule may have been referring to that dark Kentucky beer that is aged in used bourbon caskes that LCN brings in sometimes. Or maybe the Xingu or whatever it's calle.d.

Yeah, I've got the hairy issues, which is very stressful, culturally speaking for a women. And I'm overwieght, or ample or genorous or not Kate Moss. Others have different issues. Surgical scars, streachmarks. Sometimes I get so sick of the pants cannon idea that guys shouldn't walk around in just a tee-shirt. Not that there's never creepy inappropriate exihibitionist non-consensual nudity on playa. There, I bet you never guessed that naked had a "tone." We can open a magazine or turn on the tv and see the culrually approved body type. I'd like the burn to be different and closer to its counter-culture roots. And there's the whole critical tits controversy. As far as I can tell it started as a way for women to affirm the beauty and reality of the tits they had, and it's become (in part) a sort of uber-identification and conflation of women as tits. More objectification. I wish it had opened us to the idea that women running around unclothed on top was real and wonderful, not some sort of abberent event that you have to document because you may not see another pair for a year.

Yeah, the CT thing doesn't feel comfy for me yet, either... I think having no cameras would make it better, but then I realize I wouldn't be respecting the women who want their participation to be recorded, or the people who don't associate bared breasts with anything personal and private...

I've known a few bearded women... sexy for rockin' their hair with pride :) But I can understand that it is hard to get there.. I'm no Kate Moss, but have managed in the last ten years or so to get to a really good place of loving myself.. occasional blips, but not too bad :) And, my stretch marks will be on display on the playa, too.. <cheer> Wonder if they could be painted into something neat?

Isn't being picked on??! I actually went back to check on it.. and MOST (but not all) of the comments were to the effect of how he was a turn-off, or needed to wax, or things along those lines.. all pretty negative statements, no?

G'morning RD, btw.. :)

It's good to laugh at ourselves, but we go back to the "laugh with" or "laugh at" distinction. Those of us who were laughed at in the school yard know the difference and find the issue traumatic. I've been accused of being a man based on one of my pics and I hated that. In part because I thought it was a good pic, and in part because the guy didn't take my word for it. Okay on the internet, know one knows you're a dog (and taht takes a new resonance in this context) but I don't lie like that--I assume if I ever met someone by posting I'd get caught. Later someone entered that picture without my pemission at ugly.com. (i've never contacted them to take it down due to wierdness in my life at the time and a sort of frozen horror at the experience.)

Humor can lift us up with the angels, but it can also degrade us. It certainly is used to enforce social norms as well as to defy them. Welcome to the human race.

I just cringe. I don't even go through it's playa like, because in someways the best part of playabodies is that they are hairy, and have scars and are imperfect and actually human rather than airbrushed and artificially endowed. For me the good thing about playanudity is the relaxation of all humans being in bodies that are good enough, just fine, animal and when you're bubbling with enthusiasm, actually beautiful. That avatar seems to be another concession to the narrow obsessions of cultural beauty.

But then, I'm like that.

Call me narrowly obsessed and shallow then. But that's just me...

Xta and Fishy

I find stretch marks attractive. Reminds me of crushed velvet. I nicknamed my first girlfriend Velvet because of her stretch marks. :D

I still think that nudity is a non-issue. The real issue is clothing. Way back in the dawn of time some idiot made himself up to be a great high muckity muck because he was able to clothe himself all year round, while the poor guy who had a family to take care of could only afford to clothe his family during the cold winter months. So mr. big high muckity muck and his friends were putting on airs and eventually it became fashionable and if you did not keep up with fashion you were a nobody and probably evil to boot. So there it starts and it continues to this day. What a bunch of crap.

We should all go around naked just so we could stick it to the fashion industry. :o  :)

Money is everything whether someone likes it or not. For society as a whole. Fashion = money. Oil = money. Everything = money. No money, no eat. No job, no money. Individuals can make the concious choice to not be a fashion trendy being.

There is something to be said however for a womans ass in a bikini...
