De Facto, I followed the link and I love the music as I listen to dance stuff 24x7. Literally. I even fall asleep listening and it wakes me up in the morning. But have you considered the technical level of your audience? What I mean is your going to have a lot of newbies coming to your site. It's your page so your the King of Content there but you might want to make the audio only link the first choice. Then give the more technical types a link to go to the main page. Right now I look at the main page and I could imagine a relative newbie going in and saying WTF is this?
Don't take this as criticism, I loved the page with the C-Span feed, chat and the music. I'm just looking at the end user experience and for newbies they can get intimidated easily. Plus BM draws a larger spectrum of users...they might have problems getting the applets to work. I don't want to see you "dumb down" the site for this...that's why I was thinking a flip of the links might be a better way to go.
