I confess that when i stripped at the Island of Misfit Strippers i was quite
high on a huge dose of psychedelics and other substances. I confess that
i really enjoyed the weirdness they added to my personal perception of
the event, which would have been surreal regardless. I confess that while
i have a large mental tolerance for such substances they helped me stay
on stage instead of breaking into a huge panic attack in front of a roomful
of my friends.

Yes, I'm too old for this. No, not everybody else loves psytrance. Yes, there is too much poor trance at Burning Man. Yes, late night music can disrupt some people's sleep.

Nevertheless, I plead guilty to being a major purveyor of psytrance at Burning Man 2003. Not only that, as Xara's heap big poobah, I claimed my right of first choice and put my tent as close to the sound system as possible, sleeping like a baby with my head about 12 feet from the speaker stacks. Ah, bliss!
