ITYM: I was dressed down by the great master of sock puppetry Joseph Dunphy who is masquerading as Isotopia and gets his rocks off attacking any and everyone for even the most petty things.blyslv wrote:Now you can add "I was gently dressed down by Isotopia on the Eplaya."

Then certainly you might start drawing on those experiences yourself rather than solicite others for your school project.[/quote]
i posted this for people who might have published something about burning man, and how they were able to organize their experiences into literature, rather than a photo album... and i thought i could get support from fellow artists, but obviously that isn't the case.
and in my zine i wanted to acuratley portray what one would experience on the playa, "i've got my experiences let me hear a little about yours" sort of conversation, rather than getting flamed for doing something as simple as a highschool project IN AN ART CLASS. even in brian Doherty's novel 'This Is Burning Man' he draws upon the stories of others to try and understand the feeling of burning man.

Don't let the egotistical rants of a power mad Black Rock Ranger who takes sport in attacking others to feed his own fragile ego scare you off.
The eplaya has had people come on here with similar type posts that in the past were taken as "would you do my homework for me" requests? Those are not received very well around here. Now that you've clarified your original post you may get some replies or PM's. Or not. In any event the clarification is welcome and again...just ignore the above poster. He doesn't represent the majority of eplayans....he's just an anomaly.

I'm not sure that BM is as much about "the art" as it is about people charging our batteries to open up to art! We all have art in our lives every day, we are works of art ourselves but most of the default world leaves people inundated with so much art and creativity that we take it for granted.
I take a week out of my default life to open my mind to new ways of enjoying art and in turn find myself looking at the roots and origin of creativity that for some reason makes it easier to appreciate the default world a little more. Ya, I want the default world to be more like BM, I want to see more people in the default world stand with a group of complete strangers & talk openly about the sculpture in front of office building they work at and feel as involved and safe with it as I do at BM.
Just My Thoughts
