Sorry to hear Jewel needs cheering... sweet playa dreams, babe!
Hiya everyone else! Duck, we still on for thai coconut curry? I've been talking it up on the Tribe food thread, and we've got some takers...
Zule, haven't seen RD about posting that thread, but I think any particularly spectacular stories about Eplaya Bar Camp should go up, and yours certainly ranks!
Box - no doubt, eh? I've been listening to a bunch of podcasts, lots of knitters or geeks-turned-farmers or both, and they all have horrific stories to tell of their first attempts at shearing sheep :) I'd like to try it sometime, just to see... my friends have a cat that sits back like that on his own.. SUPER fat Jabba-The-Hut look, in a fluffy siamese coloured coat.. could use some shearing!

If you have never used one of those shears you are in for a treat the first time you see them. You can cut small circles in 10gauge mild steel. In lighter weights like 16 or 14 it' like cutting butter it seems so easy.

I still remember the most beautiful chandelier I've seen...
Built from bicycle parts, the main body was a wheel sans tire turned on its side, then with those gear thingys to hold the candles around the rim, suspended by bicycle chain... twas truly lovely AND functional!
Wonder if there's a google picture of it..
