V Camper

Post by *Cin* » Wed Jun 21, 2006 3:44 pm

Hello everyone! For those of you I don't know, I'm a Vcamper and happy as hell we're camping with you all. So, here I am, on eplaya to say hello!

I've never posted here before and when I went to register I got hung up on the Avatar part. It took me a while (like 6 hours) to choose one that I liked and that would fit into their guidelines. I hope it doesn't look silly.

Now, there are about 2300 pages to this thread. It's a bit crazy to try and read it all. So, if someone could just update me in 100 words or less on what I missed that would be FABU.

Who's up to the challenge?

Hi Cin! And welcome to Tisha's Bar!

I'm not going to take you up on that challenge but I will point you to the Bar Thread Index. It highlights some of the more memorable occasions in the bar and cuts those 2000+ pages down pretty quickly. Here's the link:
http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic.php?t=8136

I'll pipe down and let the "regulars" take it from here but I wanted to highlight that index. And again, welcome to the eplaya!

Hi Mozy! Thanks for asking...I'd like something really strong like a Long Island Ice Tea and put some of that Absinthe in it please.

Man it's hot here in Palo Alto. I need something to cool myself off!

Thanks but no thanks. I'm on here for a few minutes of distraction then it's back to work.

One of these days when one of our summer storms is passing through here, I'll have to head up to the benches and see if I can capture some lightning strikes.

Wow...Look at all the people! I think I'm supposed to be handing out drinks or something...Mozy passed the torch. Look at that, I'm not here even 2 hours and I'm being given shifts behind the bar!

We get quite a few afternoon Tstorms here, but not very often at night.... when you can really capture the show...

moot point right now, though... the X ended up with all of the capture equipment...

I'm a bit bummed right now because my wife has my digicam in ID and I just discovered the File>Automate>HDR tool in photoshop, and really want to play around with it.

One of my faves from E11:

White balance is a bit off, but I'm not sure if it'd be better if I corrected it. Maybe B/W would be better. Off to CS2 to play around...

Hi *Cin*.

RG - Photoshop is something I will have to get someday. Most of my photography has been with 35mm. My digital camera is only 2 mg.

Can't see your pc right now because the IT guys at work here have blinded me 8) . but I will see it when I get home.
