Good Morning Barflys - It's a beautiful day but the sky is orange here from big fire burning in the mountains just north of here. Very surrealistic and ashes covering the cars.

Lovely little espresso parachutes floating down through the soot.

Fuck. Espresso mishap in my kitchen. once it stopped brewing, I just turned it off and, after pouring my espresso into my mug, removed the basket. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have packed the grounds so tightly, and should have probably opened the milk steaming valve to relieve the pressure. Luckily, I escaped injury in the ensuing explosion, but the mess is considerable. Too bad desi has my digicam. I'll have to clean it up undocumented. Thought I'd come and type an account while my pulse got back to normal, though.

Good morning all! Head is pounding a bit from enjoying the cold drinks in the warm San Francisco weather last night. When it's warm here, we must have drinks...it won't last long. But today looks like it will be another beautiful day...

ok--I must get my morning coffee into me.

It might have been ground a bit too fine, too. There was an awful lot of pressure built up in that thing. the espresso is opaque, too. And I put in four shots of water and got two shots of espresso.

Hi Xta - I've been thinking about you as I have had the NEB out for additions in the past few days.

Cool! :)

I think we should post a "Bar Camp Projects Extra Things To Pack" list, as reminders for folks to bring sweatshirts to be cut up and NEBed, along with whatever else..

I seem to remember some discussion of "make a flag of your avatar".. anyone else remember that? By "Jeremey" on Tribe (still not sure who that is here on ePlaya)..

I've been toying with that thought - doing fabric pieces for the NEB, mugs for brew at the bar, name tags - all with avatars of the "regulars" and "not so regulars".
