Why does BM have to be during what is the first week of school for most college students? HOW $%&ING STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe having it the same week as the holiday makes things easier...? One extra day of burn time (or one extra day for travel) without having to take time off from work makes sense to non-school-attending folks. You might not like the reason, but 'tain't stupid.

You don't like it, ask the org *nicely* to reconsider the dates, put your energies into regionals, or stfu and start your own event at a more convenient time. Just bitching about it won't make the event better for you or anyone else.

Why don't you be more adaptable and select a school that starts later, or skip fall quarter and see the world...OR FUCK all that take a couple years, join the peace corps or some other do-gooder org, maybe the Marines , Navy, Army(if they would take a whiner) and see the rest of the world.

Most of life's education DOES NOT COME FROM A UNIVERSITY, contrary to the crap they feed you.

Kinda makes you prefer the beating, Sisenor. BM is scheduled and situated in such a fashion as to keep the whiners away. The Man requires sacrifice. He is not to be burned at anyone's convenience.

Ok..but I was bitching for the sake of bitching obviously and I obviously was excited to go. So the issue (you're saying) is if the event was accessible to students then other people would have to take a couple days off. I can't imagine it would be that big of a deal to the people for whom BM is such a big part of their year. I can say for myself that I'd want more than a day cushion before and after so what's the issue? It's not going to be taken over by college students but I really don't know. But the snobbish remark I got is what pissed me off. :)_p e a c e

Lighten up. For example, when you refered to burners as "yuppie prigs", I thought that was funny. Thus, do I burn.

If snobbish remarks piss you off, you're much better off staying in school with all the other sensitive types. That's what schools are for: Sanctuaries for the sensitive.
