DMV Saved forms?

Post by chromatest » Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:32 pm

I'm trying to help my buddy Kermatt get his Art Car registered. He filled out all his forms, including the picture and everything.. He submitted it. They say they can't find it.

So.. He started filling out the forms again, but didn't have his picture with him, so he selected the "Save but don't submit" button on the bottom of the form...

and now for the problem... We can't find a button anywhere to *RETRIEVE* the saved form.....

any ideas?

...I think that part of the form is just a cruel joke. Maybe one of the techies can retrieve it, but I have never been able to figure out how to make it work. Anyone? anyone?

My guess would be to try another browser - or delete all the cookies and history on the one you used. If you're on Safari, go to the Safari menu, then Reset Safari ... . This blows out all your cookies, history, saved names, passwords, cache, and on and on. You'll have to re-enter all your info on every site that requires logging in. Worth it anyway, once a week to clear out all the cookies and spybugs that track your browsing.

ahh.. so you've seen a way to retrieve your saved forms? I tried to find it on two different computers, and I couldn't see it.

No, sorry, I wasn't clear. I assumed you couldn't restart the whole process because your cookies took you to a page which assumed you had saved it and you couldn't retrieve it. My method would start you all over, which may be the best you can do.

I just finished dealing with this nightmare! got dropped 4 times. but I did learn when you enter the registration site IF... their is a saved "incomplete form you get this cute little box in the upper left hand corner :? the title of your vehicle will be at or near the bottom, CLICK IT! should bring up his form.

Now I can start gluing all my hair back in over a cold beer!
